Detailed Project Description
Science is an invaluable compass that we hold in our hands as we explore the universe. It illuminates our way in every aspect of our lives from single-celled life forms until today’s complex world over the years. Wherever we turn our heads, we can easily see it ruling our lives and often benefit from its blessings. To go further and fearlessly explore the unknowns of the universe, adopting interdisciplinary sciences is necessary. As a team, we are passionate to ignite the science fire within people. Show them how science is actually in every inch of our lives, how everything is interconnected with each other, how we can come up with sustainable solutions to real-world problems when we look from the scientific perspective. By all these, we aim to drive them to take action steps towards exploring universe, and that’s why we selected “Discovering Science Connections” challenge.
After following our science passion selecting this challenge, we decided to do something bold and comprehensive, including everything we wish it existed, and we all crave for. We built an initiative. Some people are already science practitioners, some are curious but scared to take that first step.

We want every individual to see science as a guide to explore universe and solve problems. We want them to play with the "ubreakable rules", defy the laws of logic, chase the unexpected, see how science takes part in our daily lives and get fascinated by its glow! Science is past, science is now and science is future. To live in better tomorrows, we have to start learning and start acting today, Anything is possible if we stay with science. We want to be the one that ignites the eternal flame.
TIME TO TAKE ACTION
Our target can be divided into two different categories: People that are already science practitioners, hungry for resources and who wants to change the world and the curious but scared ones. We developed 2 action plans for each group. It is impossible to not love science once you start learning. First part of our strategy is to integrate science into our lives and attract the second group. After that, we want to include them in projects where they can work on real life data based on their interests.
A demo science project is conducted to show how we will help people to see disciplines are interconnected. We are the Guardians of the Universe!
1- How we can help people to love science? Science might look scary to most people. Long equations, constants, unknowns. That's why it drives people away. We should help people to see it is actually not that scary and it actually is like a guide on how to understand the things around us. Yes, it might be rocket science but we are already up in the sky!
2- How science disciplines are interconnected and what kind of projects we can implement here? Science disciplines are always interconnected, we can see it in everyday lives. To show this, we selected a fairly interesting and new NASA data. We will examine the PDS70 proto-planetary disc with the help of computer vision and astronomical data analysis. It encapsulates astrophysics, mathematics, geology, chemistry and even biology! We will see it with our own eyes.

ISCI is taking you to 370 light years away, to the heart of a proto-planetary disc housing 2 known exoplanets, namely PDS70 and PDS70b/c.
What are exoplanets?
An exoplanet (or extra-solar planet) is a planet outside the Solar System.
Why we selected this data specifically?
Every inch of the universe is quite exquisite and filled with wonders to explore. This proto-planetary disc and young T- Tauri star is extra special as it shows us how gravitational forces accrete dust particles around them and form young and bright stars! It enables us to use different science disciplines on act.
What are these science disciplines?
1- Physics
2- Mathematics
3- Astronomy
4- Chemistry
5- Geology
Why did we choose that new area such as PDS70b/c or simply called PDS70?
Since it includes various disciplines, we thought that we could convey information in every field of astronomy to people.
Being able to study PDS70 and the planetary system is important for us to review and understand the formation stages of the earth.
With this exciting project, people's interest in astronomy will increase even more. Maybe we are looking at a primitive structure of the earth globe we live in! In particular, the dust cloud around the star PDS70 has important information and may contain objects with more planetary structures than known planetary formations. That area would be having more than 2 planetary formations! That evidences which are included in our report about PDS70 deserve being review detailed. Check it out!
The purpose of our platform is to carry out such experimental observations and research, to reveal hidden information and to bring people to science. That is why we are so excited to step our first up! We want to create opportunities and provide training on astronomy and sub-branches of astronomy for people, students and anyone who wants to learn. We will create a newsletter with monthly information messages. Our Initiative is such an alternative academy of astronomy. The site that we built up represent our mission as a demo version of course.

We started taking our actions with our crew!
We have examined all spiral galaxies under the light of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and we have added some of our reviews together with the code sections to our main file and site in the form of a presentation. We have sampled projects from every field to set an example. While we were doing all this, we also told you about our mission. That is how we think and take actions by including all areas. Especially global warming is one of the top topics for us. We want to make people noticed about its increase! We have already been examined Antarctica crisis and published our demo site which we set up for NASA SPACEAPPS! You will also see projects about NGC-1365 Galaxy and NGC-6946 Galaxy. Our archive is huge and our initiative has been established only for these reasons we listed above.

Revealing the hidden information of the universe is our philosophy of life. We get very excited every time we see this data being served to the world. It is priceless to touch objects in the universe through our own computers.
Hackathon Journey
In this project, we learned the importance of cooperation and time, and the value of the desire to contribute something to the society. We learned to write and read articles, to create reports, to produce scientific summaries. We learned that a group of people really believe in themselves, they can accomplish anything. We learned the importance of making plans for the future and putting them into practice, and that real success can only be achieved with effort. We learned again that science is valuable.
