High-Level Project Summary
We developed a company that offers drones for public services such as paramedics, firefighters or to contribute in the development of settlements or cities, providing an infrastructure necessary for a better life style by serving the city.A planned layout of drones modified to assist in different aspects that satellites cannot or are not as efficient. Intertwining drones and satellites provides a general and specific image of a situation, helping organizations achieve better solutions.Unlike satellites, drones allow us to perform this more efficiently. They are also more precise in measuring heights having almost no restrictions in getting into confined spaces, with less deployment time.

ConectAR 3.0
A wide variety of data is collected for the study of different topics. It’s used to address urban development challenges around the world.
Satellites capture images that help us improve and observe our planet from a different point of view. But they have a disadvantage: it takes a long time for them to orbit over the same place, making it difficult to gather information. This problem can be mitigated by drones, which today we do not exploit their full potential.
We believe that through a private drone enterprise this would improve considerably. Its function is to provide drone service. These can identify, discover and locate different problems; such as the collection of climatic data (rainfall, greenhouse gases, etc.); transport packages (for medical or personal use) and data collection for urban growth and development. The client consults for the service and the number of drones with the purpose requested. The technical team programs them for the location where they need to go and from a warehouse located in different parts of the world the drones leave for the destination.
These drones would be managed by the company's own software to synchronize them, and would use a lithium battery with a capacity of 10 hours (depending on the load it carries is how long it lasts). When it reaches 20%, it would automatically activate the energy saving mode to go to the nearest charging station to charge itself with wind power.
We want to complement technology with our daily lives. We live in a world that is increasingly connecting more and more which is inevitable. All we can do is embrace it and develop as much as possible.
Unlike satellites, drones allow us to perform this in less time and more efficiently. They are also better at measuring heights and getting into confined spaces and the time of deployment is reduced.
Some of the advantages of using drones are:
CLIMATE DATA COLLECTION
Using drones equipped with meteorological equipment, temperatures, rainfall, atmospheric pressure, humidity and the density of components in the air such as carbon dioxide or methane, levels of NOx, SOx and other greenhouse gases can be measured.
A team of drones soars into the atmosphere to assess the components of the air. These go to an area where there is a high concentration of the components you want to test and start analyzing them. Once the data is collected, they return to the warehouse to extract the information and later examine it and send it to the client.
MAIL, PACKAGES, FOOD AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES SHIPPING
Two problems that our current way of shipping has are the time of delivery and the fuel used by transport.
With the help provided by drones, this can be solved easily. Nowadays a lot of fuel is used on vehicles that transport the package, with a drone that usage is reduced greatly. Furthermore, when delivering there can be many difficulties in the way, such as a car accident, which doesn’t happen in air as there isn’t any.
Moreover, the risk of the delivery being manipulated, lost or stolen before arriving is no longer there. This is because it can be tracked along the journey.
Another point worth considering is that this system can be used for organ transport from one hospital to another as well, which can be helpful in an emergency. Although the current transport, by helicopter, is more efficient than an ambulance because the time spent and the risk is reduced, with a drone the shipping would be much better in those aspects. In addition, there would not be a need for a heliport. Therefore, there would also be economic advantages too as a heliport today is almost unsustainable.
ASSISTANCE IN ANALYSIS AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
When expanding an urban area, analysis is key. Thanks to the collected data, details of the city can be observed so that the best way of expanding and modernizing it is the best.
With the collected data many things can be analyzed:
- Plan the best distribution for a human settlement to develop and rebuild it. Settlements are one of the biggest problems that an urban area has because they are poorly organized and have difficult access. But with drones an improvement can be made.
- Identify areas where car traffic is higher so as to build more street lanes or avenues.
- Find out the most efficient way of carrying basic services like water, gas or electricity from one place to another. Drones make it easier to provide the best path to a place where the access is much more complicated.
- Discover wide fields so as to build green spaces.
- Measure levels of pollution to reduce it or even eliminate it. Every day we breathe polluted air but with different measurements it can be identified and then purged through purification plants so the quality of the air improves with time.
For the reasons specified above, a city can develop in a fast, effective and organized manner.
With a network of synchronized drones, the tests can be recapitulated for early measurement. For governments, mountainous or urbanized areas are difficult to access, but with this system that conflict is eliminated.
POSSIBLES USES FOR SATELLITES ALONG WITH DRONES
For example, a fire in a rural area can be detected by taking satellite photos to see the affected area and if there are houses nearby or areas of interest. After the recognition of the fire in the area we proceed to send drones to track live the spread of fire in the area.
In the event that the fire reaches an inhabited area, one of the advantages is that people can be notified earlier so that they can evacuate the area, they can also perform tasks such as tracking the progress of the fire or how fast it is moving, it can even be done an analysis of how long it will take the area to recover both environmentally and infrastructurally
DRONES SAVE LIVES
Beyond all the purposes that a drone has, there is one that will really amaze you. Lifeguard Drones are capable of providing support in cases of catastrophes or emergencies, where the life of a human being is in danger. There are companies that have developed unmanned aircrafts specifically dedicated to rescue and search for people, but how do they manage to do something like this?
By means of aero cameras they reach remote places following signals of people who have been reported as lost. At the same time, they are also being used in high demand beaches, where there are constant cases of drowning at the sea. Drones are able to reach the victim in less than 30 seconds and release a life jacket as close as possible.
These devices simply do not cease to amaze us, at the technological step we are going we are sure we will see more of these ships in our daily lives, supporting us in common tasks.
CONCLUSION:
Our experience with this Space App was very good. Not only did we learn about these topics, but we also learned about teamwork and how to cope with each other. The reason why we chose this topic was because it isn’t something really futuristic, it isn’t far away from becoming a reality.
We work together the whole time. Each time we faced a conflict we solved it rapidly and as a team.
