High-Level Project Summary

The application is written in Python. It takes an initial source image, reads per pixel RGBA data. This data is modified to emphasize various characteristics. The example we use is demonstrating the density of aerosols across the globe throughout 2021-10.This is one of the many possible filters we intend to apply. If we read in another file we can create an aggregate result of the two images and apply it to the picture of the planet. This is used to visibly see and identify the dangers in and around an area. Intended to be used by concerned individuals or urban planners. It emphasizes the major dangers and risks involved and informs the user.

Detailed Project Description

H.E.A.D.(HISTORIC ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS OF DANGER) is an application in which a user can get information regarding the different environmental factors. Our current working version is only a prototype, however, it works by reading in a CSV and converting the CSV to the format of an image. The data in the CSV determines the output colour by the proportion of the largest number in the data set.

We hope to provide a method to help people with minimum knowledge to utilize complex data to visualise information about harmful environmental factors. In this application, we make use of colour concentration to convey the danger rating in various areas(or in the given location).
