The Life Support ExoSuit

High-Level Project Summary

One of the goals in this challenge is "provide universal access to safe, inclusive and accessible, green and public spaces, in particular for women and children, older persons and persons with disabilities" and here we mark disabilities as they have a high range of things which it can be. We created our idea on helping the disabled live a normal life as any other human, we introduce the 'Life Support ExoSuit' LSE for short, our system will enable disabled & handicaped people live like normal people, and do things they would never be able to do with their current physical state.

Detailed Project Description

Making disabled & handicaped people live like normal people, and do things they would never be able to do with their current physical state, But how??


Locked-in syndrome is the rarest and most severe form of paralysis, where a person loses control of all their muscles except the ones that control their eye movements. So the Whole Exosuit will be controlled by a Glass which will have an eye tracker & Ai.     That Ai is essential, as it will have an object detection functionality and will have control over the whole LiDar System, The Image Clarifies what the Ai will see of the depth sensor (LiDar), But where exactly do you use drones in this project?


Drones will be equipped with a LiDar instrument principally consists of a laser, a scanner, and a specialized GPS receiver. Airplanes and helicopters are the most commonly used platforms for acquiring lidar data over broad areas. Two types of lidar are topographic and bathymetric. Topographic lidar typically uses a near-infrared laser to map the land, while bathymetric lidar uses water-penetrating green light to also measure seafloor and riverbed elevations.


Eye trackers are a thing for a long time so we decided that it’s reliable enough to be used in our project as a main mean of input.    It will track the eye movement and blinks which our commands are consisted of, with will allow the brain cortex to understand what a person wants to do by looking at it and doing a certain arrangement of blinks.

The brain cortex will just perform like our nervous system as it will control our suit, hydraulics, motors and AI system.

Hackathon Journey

We really learned a lot in this journey from how to transfer electricity wirelessly to how to operate and crate Ai systems and how to do more intense researching.
