Traveler terrarium.

High-Level Project Summary

Our project has two stages: the first stage deals with round trips, where terrariums would be used the first step deals with round trips, where terrariums would be used, the second step is the research process on the red planet, and due to the maximum weight capacity we would use the soil of mars combined with an already existing nanotechnology.

Detailed Project Description

The project is divided into two stages, the first would be the terrariums that would be used during the trips to and from Mars, the terrariums are a way out because of their ease, for simulating the plant's natural ecosystem and for completing its cycle alone, needing only sunlight (which can be artificially simulated). The second stage is the research on Mars, where the soil from Mars would be used for planting, as the soil is sandy, we would use a nanotechnology that already exists to make it fertile. The plants chosen for planting are Butter Cabbage, Beetroot, Chickpea, which have small roots and ideal nutrients.

Hackathon Journey

This was our first hackathon experience and it was amazing! we were a little nervous about how we could carry out the challenge we chose but we worked as a team and got a good result surpassing all our expectations

We would like to thank professor Michel Machi for this experience and to the entire team who cares about every difficulty and doubt during our project.

References

We use as one of the main references of our project the movie "Lost on Mars" which we think fit as the theme of our challenge
