High-Level Project Summary

1.use Artificial auxins to increase the auxins in the plant 2.cut the gene of the planted seeds and put the gene of Arabidopsis instead these two ways will decrease the time needed for the plant to grow and will decrease the ratio of any problem that could happen to plants. use solar energy to collect sunlight on Mars and that will decrease the electricity needed to light LED it will be also LED as a spare. electrically charged surface that deflects harmful radiation. I will use the co2 of Mars's atmosphere.I will use the Martian soil in agriculture to adapt plants to MARS conditions. there will be also water recovery to decrease the needed water in agriculture& radiation and auxins sensors

Detailed Project Description


my project grow plants in MARS in the shortest possible time ⌚ , I use some information that NASA share it and I add new things that could develop the way of growing the plant

some of these ways are :



  • use solar energy collected in Mars (but the solar cells will be so big and it open in the morning only )
  • use Artificial auxins to increase the auxins in the plant to decrease the time needed to grow
  • cut the gene of the planted seeds and put the gene of Arabidopsis instead and that before going to the MARS trip
  • it will be also LED lambs in the box if there is any problem with the solar cells
  • electrically charged surface that deflect radiation that reflect radiation if any problem happens
  • camera, water, oxygen, light, radiation, auxins, nutrients and temperature sensors
  • in the box I will take the air from Mars atmosphere and there will be air filtration
  • I will use the Martian soil and I will adjust the present of it as Martian contains all micro and macro nutrients need but with different ratios
  • there will be also water recovery as much as possible
  • I will use all the astronomers wastes to make fertilizers

Hackathon Journey

it was amazing 


I learned many things before I go to the hackathon I knew information about how to do a search and the scientific steps in any invention and I joined isef with different projects but when I joined NASA I found that it is a great world found that problem-solving steps was complicated and I didn't know more information about space but know I not only understand the space especially MARS it inspired me and make a passion in me to develop and search more after the hackathon to reach what I want ( make life in Mars easier and how to makes plant adapt the Mars conditions I mean to make plants grow in Mars without a box or any earth conditions I know it is too hard but I start a search about it could it be real in a day )


I feel sad because I am lonely in my team I was thinking that this is good for me but later I regret that decision and I decide to join the following year with the greatest possible team
