A system was developed in which a cyanobacterium of Peruvian origin is cultivated, known as Nostoc, which has a high content of nutritional value in contrast to other vegetables, the production of Nostoc is done in photobioreactors with a continuous control by temperature, pH, CO2 and luminosity sensors; In addition to a correct distribution of the culture medium (BG-11) and a system of light energy constituted with LED diodes since these do not generate heat in the culture and would allow an optimal growth, free of other metabolites and maintaining its nutritional value. This biomass can be consumed directly, or as a supplement to feed the crew.
