first, our goal was to develop a system that can produce food for 4-6 persons at least for one year .so find 2 systems of growth planting in the space (an enclosed and microgravity environment ) from the resources of NASA which are veggie system and the APH system .. but the veggie system is not valid for long-duration methods but the APH is so we used it and developed it in 2 ways the first was to reduce the lignin of the plants cause it makes the plants grow slowly and face a lot of difficulties by modifying on the transcriptional stage the second way is by inserting a certain type of seeds which is cherry belle which a lot of studies have proved is the most validation in this case
my project provides a system of food produces food for long-duration trips for 4-6 people
it produces the cherry belle plant which has been proved it is the most validation to be grown in the microgravity environment
and modify the lignin of the plant especially by inserting the BEL gene in the gene expression what makes it more effective because
we are facing more issues because of the lignin of the plants
and both of these ideas work with the APH system for growth planting in the space
and the APH is a closed system that has been developed by scientists on NASA and JAXA
and recently in the KSC
first we read the resources that were in our page team and analyzing it
we found that the APH is a valid system for the long duration ones but
there is an issue that is the lignin affects in a negative way on the growth of planting
and scientist thinking about reducing it but they didn't reach how to do it
so we searched a lot about this and have found that we can do it by modifying the BEL gene in the gene expression
then we searched about the best seeds to use in the APH system
and found it is the cheery belle seeds based on the results of the experiments that
KSC did in fluoride
I would say that our experience in space Apps is inspiring and will be remembered forever.
We've learned to apply all the theoretical things that we've learned in practice, we've applied systematic scientific research, we've learned, we've tried to think outside the box and be creative, and we've learned a lot about how to find information and get to the target information My team has always been steadfast, and what saved us from challenges and setback is our passion to present our idea and solve this challenge to help the world

A viable food system for long-duration exploration missions does not yet exist, but it will be necessary to maintain crew health and performance. Your challenge is to design a deployable crop production system capable of supporting the nutritional requirements of a crew of 4-6 on a transit mission to Mars and back to Earth.
