High-Level Project Summary
we develop an isolated expandable greenhouse that provides a suitable environment for the production of crops with high nutritional value to help astronauts survive on long journeys on Mars.We took into account in our design the final weight of the greenhouse, its size, its foldability and its extension to reduce the cost of transporting it as much as possible and to ensure that it provides the largest possible amount of food with the least waste of water and energy.

Space Agency Data
We took advantage of previous NASA trips to Mars and the mistakes they made and tried to work with their latest solutions in things like energy and radiation isolation.

Their designs inspired us in what we created and in finding solutions to problems related to the ability of the greenhouse to be folded to make it easier to transfer to other planets. So used the wheel design to make it easier to open and move the greenhouse in rough terrain.
Hackathon Journey
It was a great trip, I think it would have been better if the hackathon had been held in conditions other than distancing due to Covid. By not meeting other teams, we lost the opportunity to develop our network of relationships.
We chose the problem of agriculture on Mars because it is a problem facing the inhabitants of the harsh environments on Earth before facing the astronauts on Mars. Contributing to finding solutions to it will be a very important thing.
Everyone in the team learned something new to be able to complete what we planned, and despite the lack of time, we are proud of what we accomplished in this hackathon and we hope to have the opportunity to continue to develop it and engage in more detailed and solve more problems.
