Detailed Project Description
Our project aims to provide the right vitamin diet for astronauts during their transit mission from Earth to Mars and back.
This happens by growing crops in space greenhouses. In such a greenhouse, we decided to use methods that were not previously practiced in space gardening, but which are successful on Earth. With the help of this project, we want to achieve a solution to the problem of nutrition for astronauts, since the crew does not receive the necessary dose of vitamins from canned food, and if such food is stored for a long time, the vitamins are broken down.
To simulate this project, we used a program such as Blender.

Hackathon Journey
By participating in the hackathon, we learned a lot about growing plants in space. We were inspired by the idea of making long space travel easier and helping astronauts get a little distraction from observing the void outside the spacecraft. We decided to approach the solution of the problem creatively, and added our own ideas to the methods already proven by scientists in order to increase the efficiency of the project. As we worked, problems arose, mainly related to growing technologies, but in these cases we simply changed the technology to a more suitable one and continued to work further.
