The proposal is the development of an aplication which will treat the data sent by NASA and distribute to the population in risk areas, warning in case of landslide risks before they happen. Consequently, saving lives.
Our target consists in developing the Landslide Report app data directly to weather apps, managed by the city. Alerta Rio, as an example, is Rio de Janeiro's offical app where the government posts several allerts. The goal is to add a tab in the app that people can report danger, and be reported as well.
Community centers will be the focal point. These centers will act as a secondary way of communication and they will be in charge in case of a real landslide. Besides that, the cities will offer trainings on these community centers, so the population will be able to act correctly and avoid risking their lives.

It was an excellent opportunity to develop teamwork skills and compliance. Overall, it was an amazing experience. We chose our challenge because we are always trying to figure out solutions to help the environment and the world we live in.
