High-Level Project Summary
This project presents the app Safe land which is designed to work on mobile devices to provide shelter and save lives in the case of massive earthquake. In such case, our main interface of the app will show a map where the user will find specific locations for local shelters, hospitals, power and internet stations and general supplies stores; their specific location; the information of the seismic event and an emergency button, which can be used to call for help in the case of an accident. This project is important because it would help to keep the population informed about possible earthquakes in real time based on data and statistics.

Detailed Project Description
Our project is an application that aims to detect earthquakes, and help safeguard the lives of people, all based on an system that gives you data from the time of the earthquake and also escape routes and not only that the interface has several options that will help you to be safe .... With this application you have and we have the benefit of saving your life and the lives of hundreds of people, and we do not expect to get rich with this application, what we want is to save thousands of people and guide them in case of an earthquake, all this will be possible to do with java script tools, we will use a language that is HTML.
Space Agency Data
We are going to use the following databases in order to support the development of the project.
Google maps.
Through Google Cloud, we can access the database of Google Maps, to show especific locations in our app such as shelters, general supplies stores, user location, etc.
Eonet API
This intermediary application will allow our projet to connect to the Earth Observatory Natural Event Tracker (EONET) database that NASA offers us, which collects information on earthquakes and tectonic movements. Specifically we will use the category "16", of the object "Event" which is part of the EONET API.
Servicio SÃsmico Nacional (By UNAM).
The UNAM mentions that the data in their system is free, as long as it is not for profit. Although our project will provide services to the general public by giving information about the status of the people who suffered the consecuences of a seismic event, our app will focus their services on mexican population.
Hackathon Journey
The spaceapps experience was very good, because we had virtual closeness with our mentors and coordinators, it was also a fun activity.
What we learned as a team was to organize ourselves despite the distance, we learned official data of which we did not have much knowledge, in addition to important databases to collect information.
We were inspired by this project, because we investigated the San Andreas fault, there is no application of this style, and we think it could be feasible to do it for the inhabitants close to these areas, they can stay informed with constantly updated information.
