High-Level Project Summary
Problem-Potholes can generate damage such as flat tire, damage of lower vehicles, vehicle collisions and major accidents so, this requires the most important task that quickly and accurately detection of potholes and remove it.Solution-•Detecting and estimating the pothole in a particular region using Satellite.•Mounted IoT module collect the data using camera and sensor and sent that data to Raspberry Pi.•Detection and Measurement of Depth of Potholes.•Making the Plastic-Bitumen Mixture.•Filling the Pothole using same mixture.•Admin verify the work done and its report cross verified with the estimated report given by the Satellite.

Introduction:
Potholes can generate damage such as flat tire, damage of lower vehicles, vehicle collisions and major accidents
so, this requires the most important task that quickly and accurately detection of potholes and remove it.
Problem Statement:
Roads are the prevalent mode of transportation today, everybody is road user in one or other way, but the maintenance of road are not satisfactorily meet. Majority of road accidents are caused by poor road conditions i.e., lots of potholes besides affecting road it can also cause damages to the rims and tires of vehicles and also several medical and physical issues to humans also like (spine problems, back pain, neck pain, stress)
A pothole is defined as a bowl-shaped depression in pavement surface, it is caused due to:
1) climate change (heavy rains)
2) lack of quality management and construction management.
In proposed method, with the help of Satellite detecting and estimating potholes, and using IOT module we will fill it with mixture made by plastic waste.
Proposal:
· In this system, we are using satellite image processing to find estimation of pothole in particular area
· Where we are using IoT concept in which camera module and sensors data is sent to raspberry Pi and used by machine learning and Artificial intelligence algorithms to detect the potholes in real time. Which measures the actual size and depths of the pothole and send the particular data to the server.
· We are going to store all the data along with location of pothole in our database which is monitored by the admin and also storing our data on cloud.
· Waste plastic is molten after shredding to be converted on to coated aggregate sheets which further holds bitumen in paver
· After then, mixture fill into the potholes using filler machine.
· After completion this task, admin will confirm whether task is completed or not in our application.
· So final step of system is, admin will verify work done by properly or not as report of satellite.
Benefits:
1. Accident due to potholes can be avoided.
As we mentioned in problem Statement that more than 3000000 + road accidents in last few years, so with the help of this project we can save the life of people.
2. Recycling of plastic waste
As we know disposal of plastic is the big problem of whole community. This project will help to overcome these issues by recycling the plastic waste
3. Avoid traffic jams and save time.
it will save fuel because there will be no traffic jam due to potholes. As well as saves our lot of time.
4.Easy to track the work done
With the help of satellite, we will detect and estimate the potholes and after detection cross-check the work done.
5. Minimum product cost
For the model the components we are going to use, this are cheap product as compared to other that’s why product cost is reduced.
Conclusion:
1. satellite helps to keep a track on work done of potholes.
2.it helps to minimize the plastic waste and cost of maintenance of road as we know the total expenditure on the Ministry of Road. Transport and Highways for 2019-20 is estimated at Rs 83,016 crore. so, our system is best solution for reducing the cost.
3. it's a basic step towards strong and durable and eco-friendly roads for the future.
4.Plastic increases the melting point of bitumen and exhibits good binding property.I

3. Features:- Operational Land Imager (OLI) captures data with improved radiometric precision over a 12-bit dynamic range, which improves overall signal to noise ratio. This translates into 4096 potential grey levels, compared with only 256 grey levels in Landsat 1-7 8-bit instruments. Improved signal to noise performance enables improved characterization of land cover state and condition.
4. Benefits:-The images from the landsat 8 could be used to monitor agricultural practices, road and city construction, deforestation, and changes in sea ice among others. In order to carry out its mission, the next step for the Landsat 8 is the calibration of its instruments.
