Problem: Sometimes we go to a large shopping mall and can't find the store we're looking for. As a result, our time is squandered.Solution: Essentially, we're creating an app that will direct the customer to the store where they wish to purchase items utilizing a GPS system. Detailed Project Description

Our project is named “Naviztall ”.It is a shopping guide where customers are guided throughout a specific shopping mall.


What exactly does it do? 

It will direct the customer to the store where they wish to purchase items utilizing a GPS system. Customers, store owners, and shopping mall management are the three main categories appearing in this app.


This solves a big problem. Any number of store owners and customers can get registered in “Naviztall ” .This will impact customers, store owners, and shopping mall management as well. It will also inspire many people in the rat race as this is a time saving and effective project.


Virtual shopping guide is a real world solution which brings a solution for a current issue. This eradicates the problem of being lost inside a huge mall, with the use of GPS system. It is also valid for the future as well.


This was done under the topic “Invent your own challenge”. This is technically feasible and user friendly for the customers, store owners, and shopping mall management as well. Mainly this was designed targeting the user friendliness of the customers of the relevant shopping mall.


User Profile contains a map, calendar, discounts and offer, Wishlist, settings, Parking, About us and FAQ.

The map locates the place where the customer is .It directs customers to find a range of stores related to a specific product. Customers can search by products such as clothes, restaurants, cinema, bank, mobile etc..


There is a separate part to advertise the Discounts and offers, offered by all the stores in the mall.


In the settings segment, editing user information, password changing, switching between languages, switching between dark and light modes, notification management ,contact details and feedback can be seen.


In the shop information segment, the current status of the shop, the location of the store, contact details ,new arrivals of the store, and offers of the shop are visible.


Admin login contains admins who are provided with the facility of registering, managing and updating the shop registration, advertising manager, map locator, calendar updater, offers and details and user rewards system.

Naviztall can be developed with AI mirror technology, parking system ,AI voice/ chat assistance ,SMS alert service ,Cashless payment, Advertising scheme system as well.



How does it work? 


A user can get registered through the app and search for the stores. Then the directions are provided to the specific store .If the customer searches by a product type, the map shows all the stores which sell the particular product type. The mechanism of map is as such.


 When clients arrive at the shopping center, the app may direct them to the appropriate stores. Shop owners can also promote new arrivals, special discounts, and other items. Information about their stores can also be managed by the management.



What benefits does it have?


“Naviztall” has the benefit of offering a virtual guide inside a shopping mall. In a case where customers can review product details, special dates about shops, discounts, from home itself, this application is surely beneficial for the people who are constantly in a rat race. Also its important in being directed to stores methodically and easily without getting lost inside a huge mall.

This is an incremental development of a shopping assistant .Additionally this carries the feature of directing customers to the relevant store or spots out a set of relevant stores in the map without letting the clients to get disappointed in finding the stores and directions for them.



What tools, coding languages, hardware, or software did you use to develop your project?


 The collaborative interface designer tool-Figma was utilized to demonstrate the above segments.

Space Agency Data

We used Adobe XD as a resource in order to create interfaces and eventually shifted to Figma platform.

Hackathon Journey

Space Apps experience was one of the best competitive experiences we had. In this we got used to organizing our work according to relevant time slots, maintaining constant connections between members, keeping good communication skills among the team etc.. Being a worldwide competition made us inspired to take part in this. As university students this brought us an apt experience in teamwork.

We faced several challenges in allocating work for each other .After identifying each others’ abilities we managed to collaborate better.

We would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Mr. Sanjula Gathsara and Mr. Chamupathi Gigara for assisting in this task from the beginning.

Also we all would like to thank our own mates for the collaboration given to make this project a success.
