InPHYnity's zero shock reefing line detachment

High-Level Project Summary

Developing a project and making it run for a real world problem is a very good task. In this project I've created a smooth, detaching machine that detaches the looped reefing line without any shock, it is as small as a AAA battery, consumes 3.7V and 0.15A of current. It has a slight lean to it so that the reefing line detaches more smoothly and can carry load of 100kgs.It is Ideal for harsh temperature conditions. The detaching speed is very quick and the is absolutely no delay. I hope ,this will help in the upcoming satellite projects!!!

Detailed Project Description

This is a hardware project . It works on basic principle of conservation of mass and angular momentum .I've used the same shock which is generated by the release of parachutes to trigger the mechanism. once its triggered it will enable the power to flow which is directed by the standby processors or manual supply , the motor in turn will run pulling the rib of the mechanism up releasing the reefing line, safely detaching the parachutes without shock.

Space Agency Data

The space data I used is the PDF of the Separation devices which gave me idea of my project structure

the alloy base separation device was very cool and i used it as my base design(a little bit)

Hackathon Journey

This hackathon in particular was very exiting ,I learnt many things that can be done with the help of day-to-day findings of pure mechanics. Even though I had no team member:( I had to struggle a lot; hackathon without a team is very stressful
