High-Level Project Summary
We have developed a non pyrotechnic separation device that exerts a bolt out with a spring mechanism with the help of a linear motor.

Detailed Project Description
The bolt is exerted when an electric linear motor is activated, it actuates to the right side as shown in the images, then frees the mechanical spring that's compressed to push de bolt outwards, easy and simple!

We have been inspired with NASA previous projects in the topic, like the spring mechanism that pushes a ring to separate stages in a rocket.
Hackathon Journey
