High-Level Project Summary
We have developed a spacecraft parts separator. This solution uses a heater that will melt the parachute line while heating up, and we have made it of titanium alloy TI-6Al-4V. There is a solution that we have never seen before.

Detailed Project Description
The separating device will be a heater that will burn through the parachute line. The heater is to be in the shape of a standard spiral. The separator is to be in the shape of a cylinder with dimensions of Ø20x150mm. The body material of the separator is titanium alloy TI-6Al-4V . The material from which the heater will be made is kanthal. The separator is to work by burning through the rope securing the parachute . The separator is to be simple in operation and easy to make. We hope that we will fulfill the assumptions of the task and that this will allow the development of the space sector. To develop the project, we used a computer with CAD software - Solidworks, in addition to the model, we performed its static analysis.
Space Agency Data
We relied on the NASA movie about our task to ensure that all guidelines were met, and to see what solutions had already been used
Hackathon Journey
At the beginning, when we signed up for the Hackathon, we thought it would be easy to do, but as we took up this challenge it became more and more complicated. We started to think of something, then it turned out that something like this already exists. This did not discourage us, on the contrary it gave us a greater "kick" to act because it was a difficult challenge and we like challenges so we had a lot of fun.
We learned to work better in a team, we expanded our knowledge of space flights thanks to Hackathon, we met many interesting people
When we heard that NASA was organizing a competition, we thought it would be something very interesting and let's develop and this is a good opportunity
Our approach to this project was positive, enthusiastic, but also serious
We would like to thank Paweł Milan, Radek Kruk, Coordinators of the subcarpathian region in space apps chelenge, for their support and help, they are incredibly nice people
