What exactly does it do : The aphotic zone makes up the majority of the ocean but a minority of its life forms. Descending to the ocean floor, the water temperature decreases while pressure increases tremendously. Critical habitat is a tool that supports the continued conservation of imperiled species by guiding cooperation within the Federal government. AI along with geospatial technology & remote sensing solved the problem of reducing plastic debris in marine.

 How does it work : he data is there, but not collected in a way that allows helpful artificial intelligence and machine learning projects to be performed. Understanding what type of data is needed for a particular project is the first step in identifying where that data might already exist. If it doesn’t exist, that’s when experimentation can help by filling in the gaps in the available data.

What benefits does it have : “The plastics that pollute the oceans can have very different origins: they can come from land, or be dropped directly into the oceans by fishing boats or ships, and vary in shape, composition and size,” explains Carolina Sá, industrial relations and project officer for Earth Observation at Portugal Space. A meaningful part of this waste is invisible to the naked eye, the so-called microplastics, but others have significant dimensions, such as fishing gear left at sea. “The identification, quantification and monitoring of this waste is crucial to understand the problem in all its dimensions and assess which corrective or preventive measures will be most effective,” adds the marine science specialist.

What do you hope to achieve : This challenge has a clear worldwide reach as we aim to find solutions that can be applied anywhere, but it also has a crucial national element, as we intend to promote the development of national technology or encourage the transfer of knowledge and technology to Portugal“, states Carolina Sá. The Portugal Space project officer adds that the proposal submitted by foreigner entities must “provide guarantees that they will be able to develop activity from Portugal”.

What was your approach to developing this project: Based on the experience, recommends project managers follow the below steps to develop a plan that results in quality deliverables on time and within budget. 1. Collect requirements from key stakeholders. Once you’ve created a project charter and identified key project stakeholders, it’s essential to gather requirements.

How did your team resolve setbacks and challenges :hallenges are often brushed aside with the hope that they will just disappear, which they rarely do. Instead, be proactive. Whichever of these teamwork challenges you face, address them and create a successful team. Common challenges of working in a team 1. Lack of trust.

• Planning or Scheduling: The most constructive feature that you can use while using Project Management tools is to plan or schedule the activities and tasks. It is required for the success of your project. You can plan and delegate work to all of the team members in a single place with folders, calendars, workflows, templates, tasks, and subtasks.
• Collaboration: Emails are no longer the single form of communication when it comes to transferring information among team members. Project Management tools can be effectively used to add comments on tasks, organize dashboards, assigning tasks and also for approvals and proofing.
• Documentation: When the team or the project managers are working on multiple projects, there are bound to be some blunders where some files can get lost and there is no way to recover them.
