MAPRASH

High-Level Project Summary

We are develloping an open-source geospatial application that displays and locates every known debris object orbiting Earth in real time. It's important because the increasing amount of debris orbiting Earth could potentially limit our access to space, and it's a menace for spatial travel, impacting not only exploration efforts, but routine aspects of our life on Earth

Detailed Project Description

We have data about known orbiting debris in our database, the application have a map glob in 3D. All of object which appear on the map have an id, the application collect information about the object such as position, latitude.... and compare it with data in database. When data is approximatively equal or equal to data in database the application deduce that it's orbiting debris.

We use Machine Learning with python to create a model for the application. We also use Tkinter, folium, html, css,js and scikit-learn for coding language; for hardware we used one laptop and for software we use visual studio code.

Space Agency Data

In this project we use the data about the cumulative total flux data of the ORDEM-3.1 and MASTER-8, and position, latitude, name of debris.

Hackathon Journey

It's was funny we learn Machine learning and how to work with a team. We choose this challenge because orbiting debris are dangerous. We don't have a particular approach:

we collect data, treat, compute and create a model for the application.

We will thank NASA for this hackaton, we have never participate this challenge before

References

We use python or ML,folium, html and js
