SYMPHONY THROUGHOUT ETERNITY

High-Level Project Summary

'Symphony Throughout Eternity' is presenting 'Space Safety' web platform .The initial purpose was to build a interactive debris mapping system but due to it's difficulty level and availability of similar projects, we tried to focus more on identifying debris in less time with the help of space lovers and their resource and equipment's. This distributed system will help to put less stress on agencies and help to introduce new ideas. The output of the researches will help us to apply on other planets. Astronauts and agencies can get help in real-time by safe channels, increasing its scalability. Besides we can use this platform for multipurpose application in future based on users demand.

Detailed Project Description

With the aim to gather all the space enthusiasts who belong to various backgrounds, we the team "Symphony Throughout Eternity" offering the project - "Space Safety" which will act a powerful tool to tackle the space debris problem.

From the requirement of the given problem statement , an interactive debris mapping system has been asked and we have tried to prototype it. But , we also found the bellow necessities :

  • To identify new debris within shortest time
  • Involving citizen scientists and their space research equipment's(telescope etc.) to distribute workload for identifying new debris and threats
  • Creating a global community to identify and research on space debris to mitigate possible accidents
  • A research playground to discuss and research on debris to apply the outcomes in future missions on Moon, Mars and beyond
  • Hunting space debris as a joyful game
  • Helping Astronauts to track debris on Realtime and to source data from them to identify unknown object
  • Proposing Secure connection to contact to revoke interception and interruption occurred by enemy(Use of QKD in near future)
  • Realtime dashboard to identify the possibility of Kessler Syndrome and current debris accumulation
  • Collecting images from the users to work on them and to build machine learning models to identify and create intelligent debris tracker
  • An agile work place for the community to work efficiently
  • Helping space agencies to find suitable rocket launching days, when a certain portion of the orbit will be safe from debris
  • Making a multipurpose space debris tracking platform.

These necessity inspired us to create a user-friendly and effective web application. Our conceptual "Space Safety" app can satisfy the above necessity by following means:

  • Debris tracker -
  • Debris on earth map-
  • Helping the astronauts in real time:
  • Reporting Anomaly. Link: Anomaly
  • Disclaimer: The website is unresponsive. Please adjust your zoom

In the Report Anomaly section.( User need to swipe down to see options.)

We have added an option to capture an image in real-time and upload Her/his live location in a single click.

The emergency report option is available for:

Astronauts will have an option to contact ground stations on emergency

  • For Researchers and Hobbyist:

Researchers and hobbyist can upload there images or capture images through telescope or signal and submit them.

For the enrollment in 'Debris Hunting Game' we propose an option , where people will join happily-

To keep ourselves synchronized with the cutting edge technologies , we are proposing to add Quantum Key Distribution feature(which may be available in future) . The QKD may help us to stop enemies to disturb us to track any problematic space debris. Here a failure to detect a problematic debris may be considered as a weapon of the enemies. We are inspired from Canadian Space Agencies QKD research.

Data inputs , including images and signals may be considered as a potential data set for smart debris identifier:

We tried to prototype the debris mapping system. But , due to it's difficulty and availability of similar projects we tried broad our vision and goal:

Space Agency Data

We researched on the pattern of tracking the space debris so far. Upon that , we proposed this model to create a community based platform besides using space tracker.

We tried to identify the gaps and the ability of space agencies to build our project. This helped to achieve the goal of power of ten.

  1. ArcGis
  2. The QKD concept
  3. Multiplanetary concept. Exemple: the orbit of Mars have same properties and two points alike where satellites need to calibrate motion. Link : Mars Opposition | Mars in our Night Sky – NASA’s Mars Exploration Program

Hackathon Journey

Experience:

I have gathered a lot of experience on the tracking devices and modules used for debris and satellite. What I learnt is that , we can definitely make similar apps like celestrak and even we can make more and more fancier, but what we need is to connect every space lovers and make space and planet research more easier and distributed. Again , if we can track unpredictable debris, we can also control predictable satellite more efficiently and in other planets.

Learning:

I learnt following things:

  1. three-js
  2. importance of agile
  3. tle data

Why This Team Name?:

"Symphony Throughout Eternity " having balance till the end of time. I wished to gathered space lovers in single platform and to offer safer and easy to maintain orbit. Involvement of all classes of people and using their equipment's as a distributed system will fulfill this mission.
