High-Level Project Summary
An economical model of a high altitude balloon with devices that allow us to record and locate the trajectory of the balloon to provide viewers and end users the experience of approaching the space. Due to the cultural environment of some countries science topics are not so attractive, it is necessary to encourage students to get more involved in science and motivate them that achieving a goal is possible with dedication and effort.

Detailed Project Description
Our project is based on the development of a modular high-elevation balloon, which has various components that allow us to reach an altitude of approximately 30 km while documenting its trajectory by coordinates and a visual medium that provides the experience of bringing space closer to us.
Due to its modular nature, it is a low-cost project, thanks to this it makes it the best economic alternative for different users and institutions to develop it in scientific or dissemination applications.
Tools and software
-Metromatics: It is an API to obtain highly accurate meteorological data and climatological information for any latitude and longitude. This helps us determine how the environment affects our project.
-Google Earth PRO: To identify ideal launch zones according to the geological characteristics of the selected territory, and the projected landing zone.
-Balloon Prediction: Used to forecast the weather and determine the trajectory and landing of the balloon.
-Predict HAB: Predict the trajectory of the balloon and its explosion, and the landing. (We use this to compare data with Balloon Prediction.
-Arduino IDE: Software to develop the main program of the microcontroller c
Programming languages
-Python: It helps us to calculate density, pressure, and temperature data according to the ISA model.
-C ++: To develop the main microcontroller program.
Space Agency Data
NASA provides us with certain data resources that help the scientific community to solve social problems or to carry out experiments and projects; These resources have been of great help for projects such as the "Eco Balloon" such as the Meteomatics data that provides us with highly accurate meteorological data and climatological information for any latitude and longitude.
All this is possible through the easy API tool which offers access to a wide range of global meteorological, climatological and environmental data, which helps us to predict values of temperature, density, wind speed / direction and pressure and propose zones favorable for launch.
As for example, our team has designated a fictitious date for the launch of the balloon, and the date would be October 6, 2021 and the data collected was this:
The data represent temperature values in Kelvin and wind gusts in knots at a height of 20,000m above ground level and the accumulated precipitation in the last hour in mm. In the same way, this helps us to determine climatological parameters that should be known for our operation, such as determining low temperatures at a distance of 15,000m and thus we can compare them with the specifications and limitations of pressure, temperature, etc. of our electronic components.
We can also determine the mean sea level pressure, as well as the wind direction on that specific day.

The parameter "wind_dir_10000m: d" predicts the direction of the wind at 10,000 altitude. Which is very helpful because from these data we can decide at what local time, zone and altitude to launch the HAB.
By obtaining these data, it is already easy to collect data and even compare them with the values that the ISA equations can give us.
Hackathon Journey
Our experience as ASA UDB in the SPACE APPS has represented a challenge of courage, ingenuity and bravery, it represented the moment to give life to all our knowledge as students, which helped us learn to work as a team, since we are a multidisciplinary team of 4 different branches of engineering and (Aeronautics, mechatronics, industrial and biomedical), helped us to assess the skills of each member achieving the integration of a united, integral and responsive team, the identification of our skills helped us to choose which challenge best suited our capabilities and was the perfect opportunity at the beginning of an activity that as an astronomy association we had planned to carry out one day and who would say that that day would be the hackathon, we maintained our approach of scientific dissemination, support to those who want to learn and to make new paths for the development of our country in science, these principles were the motivation to cope with each Circumstance and difficulty that was presented along with the mutual support between the team and the encouragement of our mentors, for all the above it is essential to thank all the giants who helped us to literally reach beyond the clouds, our families, teachers, organizers of the event, to NASA and GOD.
