A B C D E (ANY BODY CAN DEVELOP AND EXPLORE)

High-Level Project Summary

Lesson plan and Bill made by us to teach students, the ways and steps to build HAB (high altitude balloon)for reaching near space easily with little amount of money. We focused on making steps including some tips so that any one can make and launch HAB easy without high skilled personnel. HAB helps to explore the universe as well as our earth by little pre -preparations and plannings. Our work can help and inspire the beginners as well as interested experimenters to make the HAB in order to perform experiments /trials of equipments, for high altitude photography of Earth and for clear data collection through sensors installed in the payload box.

Detailed Project Description

I gave whole information and data about my project in final project box now a small summery of my whole project

*-A B C D E-*(any body can discover and explore ) If talk about reaching space there are now several ways developed by different space agencies. Basically, space means the vast place where there is no atmosphere or less influence of gravity of an planet and star. Now two types of research satellites are being prepared and launch, they are unmanned and manned. Unmanned satellite is also known as Drone satellite as it is controlled by its own computer or by the flight operator from the ground station.

Our project is to develop a plan, procedures and ways by which kids can also launch their own "HAB"(high altitude balloon). And can know about the space them selves and develop their knowledge about the space as well as the Earth.

PRE - LAUNCH PREPARATION

Before launching the HAB we should check the local weather report to know the weather that if it is appropriate to launch the balloon or not. We should launch the balloon in calm weather when there is no rainfall, clear sky without clouds and less air speed. In appropriate conditions we can collect clear and accurate data and readings that could be used for scientific researches and development of place.

APPROPRIATE MONTH TO LAUNCH THE HAB

There is different weather and climate at different places around the globe. So, we should know which is the best month of your place to launch HAB via topographic and atmospheric researches done by different institutions which are easily available in internet now a days.

For my place August to September is the best month to launch a the balloon as, normally sky is clear and wind speed is also lower in comparison to other months.

Demo

Step 1-Attach the balloon with the payload then fill it with gas either hydrogen or helium but I will prefer helium as it is more stable.

Step 2-Launch---In open area.

Step 3- Balloon goes at maximum height and explodes due to pressure imbalance i.e pressure inside the balloon becomes grater than the atmosphere as "the altitude increases atmospheric pressure rapidly decrease."

Step 4- Parachute opens some times after the balloon explodes and pay load starts to fall down ward

Step 5- Recovery of payload (box with equipments and data)via GPS coordinate send by the transmitter

Step 6- Extracting data from the SD card or HDD attached to it.

Step 7- At last enhancing the data collected by using several fee software tools easily available in internet.

Step 7- Using the gained data for different studies and researches.

Measures taken before launching the HAB

- Inform the local government about the launch.

- Predict the flight path and view the air traffic control data via different free apps and Software.

- Weather report.

- Equipment to be used that can survive the almost 5G force as well as harsh temperature up to (60 to -60).

- Coding about the parachute opening time (You can use https://forum.arduino.cc/t/making-a-parachute-deployment-system-for-rocket/576239)

- Equipment should be placed inside a box made up of plastic or of foam that can absorb "G"force when the balloon blasts ,when the parachute opens and when box strikes the ground .

-All the electronic wires should be scolded and fixed tightly to sustain the shocks ,temperature and weather.

Required permissions and device so that flight control can monitor and avoid the collision

-We should inform the federal aviation department about the launch so that they could know about the HAB and can contact us about the upcoming flights on the path of our balloon.

-We can use radar reflector so that air traffic control can detect our HAB

-We should not launch HAB without FAA(flight aviation association )clearance as there is the chance of collision with other flying objects and can cause serious accident

Space Agency Data

we used NASA open source data for making our project I. e. (Near space near you 🌌🚀). We look forward that judges will select our project as the global nominee.

Thanks🙏

Hackathon Journey

We enjoyed our space apps journey that started from the post of NASA in Facebook of my mom's phone. We as a group worked together in coordination and learnt a lot from the NASA open source data.

Our teamwork and coordination lead us to complete our project on time together.

The challenge Near space near you was selected by us as we have genuin interest in exploring space and so for making plans and bills for launching HAB and giving knowledge about HAB (high altitude baloon) to students attracted us.
