Balloon Application

High-Level Project Summary

We have developed an application on a flutter platform that helps students to know the materials needed to make a low-cost high-altitude balloon. We have developed links to purchase the necessary equipment and we have developed tools to help the student in the balloon release process, such as a tool used to know the balloon's path, and we have provided the student with the legal procedures for his country.

Detailed Project Description

BALLOON applications have been made with flutter and Android Studio IDE. we using flutter because help to make a cross-platform application. the application helps the students to know more about Scientific Balloons and the equipments they need and how to buy them. In the future, we want to develop the application to become a store for Scientific Balloon equipment and make the application a communication platform for people interested in weather balloons.

Space Agency Data

Our main mission in this project was to simplify the process of launching high-altitude balloons into near space for students and help them find the necessary equipment and tools. NASA data helped us a lot in understanding this process and the environmental impacts on it. We were so inspired by the launch of the huge balloon from New Zealand. It was a very wonderful experience. We wish all the students to have the opportunity to try this experiment.

Hackathon Journey

The space apps journey was very beautiful and fast, it gave us a chance to show our creativity and passion. We’ve learned the importance of teamwork and the importance of each individual in the team. With the help of everyone and the resources, we made an application that we are satisfied with. It gives students a study plan for making a balloon that reaches the highest layers of space. The fun is an essential part of the application and we tried to make it easy to use, I would like to thank all the team members, the Saudi Ministry of Space, and NASA for giving us this opportunity to learn and share amazing things about our wonderful space.
