High-Level Project Summary
Our team has developed a mechanism to make water distribution in Peru more efficient, of better quality and sustainable over time.Considering that water is not distributed homogeneously in all areas of Peru, we have thought of creating a "water value chain". This proposal is based on designing legal mechanisms to give tax exemptions to large companies (of the most productive industries in the country) to position their production centers in areas without access to drinking water, thus creating an industrial and social cluster that allows, through public-private investment, the construction of more drinking water connections.

Detailed Project Description
Water value chains" promote investment in the construction of drinking water connections for the most vulnerable populations. By giving legal exemptions to large companies, we are generating an incentive to extend drinking water coverage to more people. Under the premise that water is one of the main elements in the productive process, we believe that by moving the production centers to these vulnerable areas we are contributing to increase the number of drinking water connections for those areas where it does not yet exist. This would not only allow the provision of water, but would also promote job creation in these areas, since the demand for labor would grow due to the new industrial clusters

It was a great experience that gave us more experience about group work and innovation. Helping the most affected communities is what inspires us to continue increasing our knowledge and to move forward in all the projects that we propose.
