High-Level Project Summary
Environmental Justice Mexico is a platform where you can find environmental injustices in Mexico through environmental injustices map section. Also, we have an animation and data analysis section where we present animations of satellite images and data analysis of two different regions in Mexico to make a comparison and get conclusions to know if there is an environmental justice. Information we have is not enough, because of this, we create a forum where the people who knows about environmental injustices could act and publish their complaints. We are following social media through News Social injustice section to know where there are more environmental injustices.

Detailed Project Description
Environmental Justice Mexico, through the analysis of satellite images and data, tries to predict or search for patterns of interest that help us identify areas of possible social injustice. In addition, there is a forum where you can post your complaint and help us take act.
The platform contains some of the following sections:
MAP Environmental Injustices : On this page you can locate environmental injustices on the map of Mexico.

NEWS Environmental Injustice: On this page where you can see all the environmental justice news on Twitter.
FORUM: In the forum you can communicate with others to report environmental injustices or natural disasters for prevention.

Development Tools
We use Azure's logic apps service to search through tweets containing a hashtag and then do a text analysis to determine the sentiment of the text and then post it to our Twitter account, and then insert the Twitter feed on our page to be updated with the latest environmental justice news.
We use MySQL Database to make queries, clean data and get descriptive statistics together with MS Excel . We also use Tableau to analyze and visualize data to get patterns to describe the injustice in some regions in Mexico.
Microsoft Azure like cloud-based hosting service of our solution.
Space Agency Data
EOSDIS WorlView to create animation satellite images about weather and make correlations with other information source to get a clear pattern that help us to get regions with environmental injustice.
We use JPMAC to get information about weather variables and measurements and make a data analysis with Tableau Software to visualize patterns that could help us to make decisions about environmental injustices and how the climate change is affecting to the population in Mexico.
We use NASA Socioeconomic Data and Applications Center (SEDAC) to get information and make comparisons how different countries are correlated with their social injustices in the Injustice Atlas.
Hackathon Journey
It was a great challenge for us because we had certain limitations such as knowledge in programming and with regard to delivery time, but in the end, we were able to deliver the solution, it was also a challenge to find the appropriate information to be able to achieve certain objectives, although we had maybe some other idea at the beginning. Perhaps adapting to working online with different people is a challenge since we do not know how to work, but it is a nutritious job, full of ideas. It is a challenging experience, but it leaves us satisfied with the results.
