High-Level Project Summary
An educational and active platform against social and environmental injustices. We handle data directly from NASA and connect different themes in interactive maps to induce users to create links between normally unrelated subjects, in order to develop a critical sense related to these injustices. Plus, we delivered facts related to the world and our country and interpretations to understand this dataset. The platform provides a network of anonymous complaints, a real-time view of the most reported issues, a forum for communication, among other features. We believe that education, criticality, and the population's involvement in the issue are what will work out these injustices.

Detailed Project Description
We developed a platform that aids people who are in situations of environmental vulnerability, that is, help them to have a voice in the discussion. Considering many people don't know about the topic, we try to show them similar situations in other places so that we can create a communication network that supports them. We hope to achieve with this a reduction in the environmental inequality that many people experience, or at least contribute to it. The Wix site creator was used in the project to facilitate the creation of the website and its required maintenance, in the long term, we could think of a proper development of our site that helps in a matter of autonomy. We use HTML to reference the maps and link the utilities on the website, along with the website creation platform. With this site, it intends to display maps indicating environmental injustices for people to follow and expand the range of knowledge.
Space Agency Data
The data we use from NASA come from a real-time database made available from the “Sustainable Development Solutions Network” (SDGs). This site provides tables with datasets relating to various areas of knowledge. What we achieved was to gather available “datasets” and develop pairs of two by two, since our objective is to unravel relationships between different socio-environmental indicators. We list data from environmental, social, economic indicators, among other types, to, in addition to identifying places where societal injustices occur, acknowledge the origin and propose solutions. We took the "datasets" from the site and built them on top of a base platform, which would obtain our blank map. As follows, we developed a method to import the maps we created on the website so that users can interact directly on our platform and relate two indicators, in addition to identifying locations and correlating facts. So the innovation we generate is going beyond the data. It's interpreting it and making users think outside the box. Because, in this way, we manage to influence the population to think more critically and pay attention to problems that do not concern only their individual experience, but rather look at the socio-environmental injustices that occur in their localities and even around the world. This with an extremely reliable database that updates in real-time.
Hackathon Journey
The experiences that NASA SPACE APPS provided to all of our team were amazing, we improved all kinds of skills, such as programming and writing. And, also, we develop our critical sense and how we analyze the world and different situations. We choose the SPACE FOR CHANGE challenge to have contact with the reality of marginalized people in the world, especially in Brazil, and to see how climate change affects the lives of those with less socioeconomic conditions, our inspiration was to give a voice to those who don't have and clarify their problems to force politic actions to happen. When analyzing the most varied types of data we could see links in things that common sense doesn't connect with, so our project focus was to bring awareness to the general public.
Our team was very united all the time, so when we had setbacks we were capable to solve them very quickly, and the mentors helped a lot in that manner, and we would like to thank them for the great help they provided us.
