SPACE FOR CHANGE

High-Level Project Summary

Marginalized communities are those excluded from mainstream social, economic, educational, and/or cultural life. Examples of marginalized populations include, but are not limited to, groups excluded due to race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, language, and/or immigration status. In this, to fulfill our first objective we took various case studies of different regions and to fulfill our second objective we gave Vedic and normal solutions related to air pollution, water pollution, etc. which may work to provide better future and overcome hazards to marginalized communities.

Detailed Project Description

Marginalized communities hazards and excluded from other social and cultures. Due to pollution they have to suffer from different kind of health issues. In metropolitan areas people with good economy can maintain life but to provide good life to marginal communities our focus is to solve pollution using VEDIC Methods(ancient Indian Methods) . By using NASA Earth Observation Data we can manipulate Different hazards, Level of pollution at certain areas, and population of Marginal communities.

By finding the water quality and quantity, we can measure the amount of nutrition in the water and further solving it with vedic solutions water can be purified similar for Air Pollution.

As these kind of communities have less fuel we can provide them Bio gas plantation. To provide these kind of facilities NASA EO can help them to find exact location for Bio gas plant.

Space Agency Data

We use NASA SDG(Sustainable Development Goals). These data gives a lot of information about air quality, water quality, and temperature data to obtain information about remote regions. We have collected other data from different articles and old researches.

Hackathon Journey

It's indeed a great journey! We learned new aspects like Literature review, Team work, Time management. During this whole hackathon journey we learn that socially and economically marginal communities should be developed. They are also a part of our Globe. we also obtain information about how NASA Earth observation data can help and save people.

By observing the local surroundings and through social activities we got engaged with this challenge to bring probable solutions to provide a better future for marginal communities by using platform provided by NASA.

We want to thank our coordinator Mr. Krunal Suthar for giving his guidence throughout hackathon Journey.
