High-Level Project Summary
our solution is about making a game that explains the trip of the robot to the planet (Kepler-62e) which is 1200 light years from our home plant earth to discover the surface and make researches at the climate.the trip consists of many missions that provide the player with knowledge about gravity assist

Detailed Project Description
- The challenge that has been chosen is (space quest: the game). In this challenge, we aim to create a game that demonstrates the voyage of the robot to the planet (Kepler 62e) to discover the surface of the planet and make researches to discover the water sources, minerals, climate, and the possibility of having living species on it. Our game is divided into 4 missions.
The first mission: is about that the spaceship will be launched out of the earth and starts spinning around the orbit of the earth.
The second mission: this mission focusing on the gravity assist of mars. the player must enter the orbit of the mars and leave it at a certain point, we can calculate this point by using the equations of the conic section and calculating the velocity of the spaceship in the gravity field of mars by using the equation of Δv. this mission learns the players about gravity assist.
The third mission: is about facing some obstacles and difficulties that prevent the spaceship from completing the mission. These obstacles can be like collisions and all kinds of rocky materials that will destroy the spaceship and the player will fix it. This mission will learn the player about some rules of the architecture.
The fourth and fifth mission: they are about reaching the planet Kepler, landing on it, and exploring it.
Problem definition:
- The challenge that we're working on is (space quest: the game). In this challenge, we are supposed to create a game that teaches the players about space from the perspective of architecture and makes them understand more aspects of space exploration. This game also must provide the details about the challenges that face the player to receive the robot to the planet (Kepler 36e), in addition to demonstrating all kinds of obstacles that face the astronauts among their periods outside.
Background and literature review:
- There are a bunch of applications that aim to improve the users with knowledge about the space. These applications don't rely on games to teach the users, otherwise, it depends on saving a lot of information about the space so the user can search in these applications about the space, and he will find the answer.
Methodology (the science behind the idea):
First: The challenge has been studied to identify accurately our idea and to identify our mission.
Secondly: We decided to make a game to explain information about the space besides adding a kind of excitement to the game to attract the players to it.
Thirdly: We have chosen our mission as the spaceship will finally land on Kepler planet. This destination has been chosen to make the players explore more information about the planets that are located out of our solar system.
Finally: the kind of spaceship that will suit this kind of mission has been chosen.
Value proposition:
- To attract the customers to our game, there must be some unique characteristics that distinguish our game from the others. To those who are fond of learning more and more about the space but in a funny and easy way, our game is the best choice for many reasons:
1- It is free as our target is to help the players to learn not to earn money.
2- It is provided by a lot of materials about the science of astrology that our game is based on.
3- The game is 3D, so the players can get into the experience of traveling to space like the astronauts.
4- The game is full of obstacles and mysteries that make the players think about solutions to get rid of these obstacles in a short time, so this increases their ability to deal with their problems in the real life.
5- This game demonstrates knowledge about space and how the astronauts live outside beside the kind of problems that they face easily and excitedly that makes them attracted to the game all of the time.
Space Agency Data
for this mission, we decided to send a flyby trajectory because it's the best choice for gravity assist trips which we have adapted in our game.
and we chose the destination to (Kepler 62-e) because it has the possibility to live on it at the same time it might be the farthest colony from earth
Hackathon Journey
I and my team learned a lot at science and engineering and space exploration because of our challenge, but we that is not the limits of our experience in the hackathon it was different kind of team working, these type of competitions are the core of self-development, and all of us had a great boost at game development.
