Explore The Beyond

High-Level Project Summary

We planned to launch a knowledge-based app about the need for space exploration, human missions towards it, challenges therein, accomplishments so far, future strategies, and plans. We have five parts for now: Exploration, Quiz, Space Puzzle, Tic-Tac-Toe, and News. The exploration part includes the unique flashcards; the quiz includes brain training multiple-choice questions; the sliding puzzle contains space maps and astronomy-related objects. To play the game Tic-Tac-Toe, the player needs to correctly answer the question first, on the respective place to reserve it. News includes recent updates on space information. The app inspires explorers to learn with fun.

Detailed Project Description

Our app is a fun-based learning platform where explorers will get a chance to learn a multitude of things about space and the universe including but not limited to our solar system. For now, we have added five different parts: Explore, Quiz, Space Puzzle, Tic-Tac-Toe, and News.

Explore: This is the dedicated part for the readers. We, here, have put flashcards about interesting and inspiring events related to human space exploration.

Quiz: Here, it includes multiple-choice questions related to human missions on space, important dates related to it, accomplishments, and many more.

Space Puzzle: In this part, players can select the level of difficulties and play the sliding puzzle game where they need to properly order the individual pieces of the image to make a complete image. The sliding rule will be as usual game i.e. to swap between any two adjacent pieces. Upon the successful completion of the game, the player will be awarded a fact sheet, information related to missions, recent discoveries, or inspiring stories.

Tic-Tac-Toe: To play this game, the player is required to choose between two provided modes to play either against the computer or another player, and correctly answer the question on the respective place to reserve it. The questions here are based on choosing the best alternative. If the player can't answer the question, he can't reserve that particular site and hence needs to go for another one. But once, they can't answer any, a new set of questions will be assigned for each place.

News: This includes the most recent activities in the field of space exploration.

The app is mainly about inspiring the explorers to fulfill their quest for knowledge in a fun way.

Space Agency Data

Most of the data and resources are taken from NASA.GOV as it is a very big hub for space material. Explore has used all the information from the NASA Mission category, including titles, images, and descriptions. The quiz contains explored questions by NASA and a few of them are taken from space.com. And remaining features include resources from NASA. And we have used the Kodular creator to make our app whose link is provided in references.

Hackathon Journey

We were very excited for one month for this challenge. We found a team of three, and we planned our application. And on the first day, we were kinda nervous and discouraged as it didn't go well as expected. We were messed up, but the same scratches kept us awake the whole night. The cooperation of the team helped concentrate on the project, and slowly it started looking good. And, then, we were very excited to finish, the best application, for the explorers, on time. Along the journey, we learned teamwork, the fruit of hard work, and we also explored NASA.GOV like never before. I would like to thank my team for their dedication and thank NASA for this opportunity.
