High-Level Project Summary
Did you know that playing video games you learn unconsciously? Due to the pandemic, the use of video games has increased. 27% of Peruvians dedicate 6 hours a week on average to videogames. In this context, we developed a video game that will have as its purpose the didactic teaching of the mysteries of space using real and attractive information provided by NASA. We will provide our users with the opportunity to learn unconsciously while having a good time playing. Since it is a video game for smartphones and computers, it can be used in schools as a learning tool to access scientific knowledge. Our video game is the solution to generate collective interest in science in a simple and fun way

Detailed Project Description
Our proposal is based on encouraging the learning of children and adults with games that will consist of missions that they will have to solve in a limited time, puzzles to assemble and then interact and finally question and answer tests to show how much you know. It works with and without the internet, with collaborative mode, and versus in real-time, the application works on smartphones and computers adapting to both platforms. As a benefit, our application aims to be entertaining, dynamic, and accessible to the greatest number of people, in this way we will achieve that knowledge is transmitted at the speed of light. We hope that this knowledge generates interest in scientific advancement in people, motivating their curiosity and their desire to learn. We use the Unity platform to obtain the source code and be able to use it in the development of the game.
Space Agency Data
Our project was inspired by the interstellar object Oumuamua, the first star to visit our solar system, this unusual object had been roaming the Milky Way, without being attached to any star system. The project would become a “first-come-first courier” referring to the Hawaiian nickname given to the object by the Pan-STARRS team. We would be the messengers to reach the most remote places of Peru, we would be the essence of Oumuamua, which due to those space whims, entered our solar system. We want to make a simile of this, we want to be the carriers who arrive from afar first. To be that new visitor from a distant star system, in the shape of nothing they have seen before, innovating through an educational tool.
Hackathon Journey
I would describe it as an innovative experience that opens up a different panorama for young people, such as space. We learned to carry out a project in the short term, to interact optimally with different people, to reach a point of the agreement taking into account our common objectives. Our inspiration has been to help make more known about NASA, especially so that everyone knows about them. Our team has resolved some setbacks by prioritizing the contributions of each of the members of this group. I would like to thank the U.S. Embassy for providing us with this valuable opportunity.
