High-Level Project Summary
Kode's Bizarre Adventures aims to teach space-curious children about space adventure in a fun way. This game, which is informative-platformer-style, tells about the main character Kode entering to a NASA building, meeting a physicist, and going to Mars from there.

About Us
As More Than a Coder team, our main goal is to teach elementary and pre-school level children about the space journey while entertaining them. That's why we added colorful graphics, an accompanying mentor, and complimentary music to our game. Thanks to this, players will not stop having fun while learning. In addition, since our main character is also a young space enthusiast, they will be playing their own peer in the game. We have designed an internet-based (HTML5) game so that the game can be played anywhere in the world, on any platform, and by an audience of any age. Thanks to this; players will be able to access the game on any platform, from smartphones to tablets, computers to smartboards, without any download and compatibility issues. As a space-enthusiasts, we have presented a game to our space-enthusiast friends like us, and they can reach and play the game easily from anywhere. In our team of 2 people, one of us was interested in graphics, music, design, and production, while the other was interested in coding, engineering, and effects. Since we are high school students and do not have professional equipment, we made the drawings on a smart tablet and the coding on our personal computer. We wrote our game in an open-source program called GDevelop in JavaScript and HTML. Players will be controlling the main character called "Kode".
Story of the Game
Kode finally managed to get to the NASA Headquarters, which he had been dreaming about for many years. But there is an obstacle in front of him. To continue, Kode must complete the parkour and reach the NASA building. While walking in the NASA building, he comes across a physicist. The physicist agrees to help Kode in his journey. Then, the physicist shows us the NASA and ESA training and asks a few questions about his training. If Kode answers these questions correctly, he will complete his education and will be eligible to go to Mars. Kode, makes his dreams come true when he arrives at Mars and he can finally travel the planet freely.
How We Addressed This Challenge
Problem:
Many Generation Alpha kids (after 2010) started to adapt to school online caused by the pandemics (This covers first-graders and pre-school education too). Because of the main technology addiction problem of Gen A, this situation creates a very big problem for the teachers and families, members of this generation have many concentration problems. Members of Gen A want to play online video games than listening to an online lesson. Because of this, they do not learn and make dreams about their future.
Vision:
Our main motto is "Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet", with this motto we wanted to show Gen A kids they can make their dreams come true. As we know building a dream and making it real is a very hard thing to do. But we wanted to show, the more difficult your dreams are, the more happiness you will have in the end.
Solution:
When we looked at this problem, we wanted to find a good solution, a solution that combines games and lessons. We have created the game called "Kode's Bizarre Adventure". We wanted to give Gen A a chance to learn and have fun at the same time. With our game, we wanted to teach this generation's kids about space while they are having fun playing a platformer game.

Hackathon Journey
Our Hackhaton journey was awesome, we learnt a lot of new things about space in Workshops, we had a lot of fun while working on our game-making project. We chosed this challenge because we wanted to make a game which can teach about space and entertain players at the same time.
