High-Level Project Summary
We have developed a game that will allow players to learn about the challenges faced by astronauts on the planets of the solar system (and Moon) and what they need to do there to meet these challenges. Players will expand their knowledge of space as they accomplish missions. As it is known, people are in search of a new planet with life, and during this search, many difficulties await us on that planet. To overcome these difficulties, we must be prepared for them. The game will teach players how they can be ready for those difficulties. Also, the dimensional rich space environment in the game with some data which are primarily from NASA and JAXA will be obtained.

Detailed Project Description
RA’S GARDEN
Explore the space
ABOUT OUR GAME
Our game can be played on any planet in the solar system, depending on the player.
There are special missions for each planet.
The player can increase their knowledge about space by performing these tasks, as well as have fun using their own creativity.
Example of tasks:
Tasks for Mars exploration:
1-The 5-mile high Sharp mountain, located in the Martian environment, has very beautiful micelles and a rich clay structure. The minerals found in the soil here can give a chance for life for the future here. Now you need to climb Mount Sharp and get it from the soil that is there.
2-The fact that the rocks found on Mars are sedimentary or igneous is very important for the biological signature and the Martian past. Now you should try to break a few of these rocks and evaluate them for strength and guess that they are sedimentary and igneous.
3-Clouds on Mars are formed as water ice and dry ice. Finding out which of these clouds are composed of will allow us to obtain a lot of data in terms of the climate of Mars and its proximity to the Sun. Now you need to take photos of clouds on Mars and conduct visual analysis.
4-There are organic salts on Mars, which may be remnants of microbial life. In order for these salts to be released, the soil on Mars needs to be heated, and now you need to take soil from some regions and start heating it.
Reward system and ranking
Players can try to make a degree in the global ranking with the points earned by performing tasks
In addition, they can get special skins, new items with the scores they earn.
Special events
Special events are created annually in connection with discoveries made in the real world (for example, if a live species is found on Mars, a special event is brought to the game related to it so that players are informed of current developments)
Space Agency Data
The NASA data collected by the team SECRET OF DARK was the foundation for the work done in this project. The solar system monitored by NASA and its partner agencies is the location in which our game takes place. Data collected by NASA about the surface of Mars were used to design the planetary view. Also, data collected by NASA and JAXA about the planet's climate and gravity specifics were used to increase the reality of the game. The size and shape of the map are designed according to the data acquired from NASA and JAXA databases. Although it is not identical to the real planet it is sufficient for players to have a decent experience. SpaceX and NASA missions to Mars inspired this project. We believed that human civilization can expand to other planets and discover them. The game's rules forbid players to do unorthodox things such as jumping into space. Because scientific data show that measures must be taken in order to survive. This also applies to the missions of the game. If certain mistakes are made the game ends for the player. Therefore missions must be completed correctly and according to scientific knowledge.
Hackathon Journey
[ GK researcher and writer ], [IAK programmer and researcher], [EU slide maker and programmer], [ET slide maker and researcher], [NA researcher and slide maker]
This project is designed to enable us to understand the difficulties of staying there and learn what we need to do to hold on to life when a planet is explored in the solar system and beyond. The world is getting old and humanity is now looking for new planets and some planets are really starting to be considered for life. So, what should astronauts pay attention to on the planet they go to in search of life? How to survive there? And this game is designed to answer the questions that are on our and your minds.
How did we develop this project?
First of all, on the first day, we had a zoom meeting with our team of 3 people. In this meeting, we talked about what we will do on the 1st day of the competition and the distribution of tasks. Then we determined which resources we would use for the competition and ranked them. One person left the team due to personal problems. Three more people joined the team voluntarily. And our number increased to 5 people. EU took part in the software field in our team and worked on the necessary software for the game. They explored the sources of the competition, learned about space and planets with IAK, and shared their knowledge with the team. IAK worked on the software as well. IAK and EU worked on coding in Unity and Flutter. On the other hand, information became regular and usable by making face-to-face phone calls and meetings. Afterward, many meetings were held on zoom and discord and we prepared for the competition. Project documentation was developed by IA. Debug logs are made by EU. GK, NA, and EU created a slide show. GK wrote the writings needed. IAK performed rechecks of the slide area.
This space application experience gave us great knowledge, we learned a lot about the environments of other planets besides our own. We also saw the difficulties experienced in space much more closely and discovered new methods to overcome them. The biggest inspiration for our team to work with determination and determination in this struggle was the great mystery in the universe. We acted as if there was a big secret in the universe and as if everything would be easy when that secret was reached. we acted and this way of acting helped us focus on the root cause of the challenges on another planet in space and inspired us. Also, while developing the project, our aim was to build a life on another planet to overcome difficulties. Of course, our team also encountered problems, but these did not prevent us from producing solutions We were able to overcome the problems easily because there was strong solidarity in our team. Since the cooperation in the team was very strong, the problems were always resolvable for us.
