High-Level Project Summary
Our challenge is to create a super power for the Earth. For our project we have created a new microorganism that is capable of turning plastic waste into useful and environmentally friendly resources. Aside from that it also lets animals and plants photosynthesize during the day and night. In addition it also controls the speed and amount of photosynthesizing according to the amount of carbon dioxide and other gasses in that area. This is a very important matter because it can help us end global warming pollution, hunger and also extend the lifetime of the Earth.

Detailed Project Description
We have created a microorganism that has the ability to turn harmful compounds in to useful resources. It also effects animals and plants and gives them the ability to photosynthesize day and night. In addition to that, it is able to turn plastic into environmentally friendly resources. The way for it to work is we release the microorganisms in an area that is polluted with plastic and let them turn the plastic in to organic compounds. These microorganisms will be able to reduce climate change by ridding the air from some of the harmful gasses and may even eventually help get global warming back under control again. We hope that these microorganisms will be able to help save the planet and lengthen the life span of the Earth so that we have more time to decide on where we plan to inhabit next. For this project we have used a large variety of sources such as power point, word, flipaclip, wikipedia, vikipedi, TRIZ, Espacenet etc. We believe that in the future this idea may be a big help for our planet Earth.
Space Agency Data
We didn't use a lot of space agency data because our topic was more about chemistry and compounds but we did use the NASA site.
We used it to research the influences of weather condition to see which conditions our microorganism would have to be able to withstand.
Hackathon Journey
Our Space Apps experience has been a little stressful because all of us are new to this. It's very educating in terms of giving us a glimpse of the future and how formal projects will work. We have learned how real teamwork works, how to use certain apps, how to do real research and also how to be able to coordinate from different places. We actually chose this topic because none of us are very skilled in coding or advanced technology but we all had great ideas and sharp minds so we decided that this topic would evaluate our specialties best. We were very excited about our project because we couldn't wait to bring our ideas to life but none of us had really anticipated how challenging this would be and also how much hard work it would need. Of course we had some challenges and set back on the way but we resolved them by communicating and making sure that every one had an idea of what they needed to do.
