Rache came from the MoonRoad, has a lot to do.

High-Level Project Summary

Increased temperature and humidity as a result of global warming will carry a fatal risk in the future. At this time, some areas are becoming increasingly arid. If a moisture balance is maintained in the world, the risk of future death may disappear. Our hero Rache reduces moisture in too humid areas and turns it into rain for arid regions.

Detailed Project Description

The limit of each molecule that each fluid can accommodate is called saturation. The water capacity that the atmosphere can carry is limited, and the amount of water that is in the atmosphere at any given time is MOISTURE. If there is 100% humidity in the air, it has reached absolute saturation. In general, the atmosphere is not in such an extreme state, because with the slightest temperature drop, that excess moisture in the air begins to condense and fall to the ground. The name of this is rain. While measuring temperature in mercury thermometers, as the ambient temperature increases, the volume of mercury expands, and how much of that thermometer fills changes and the temperature is measured accordingly. If the temperature is not cold enough for the rain to fall, the moisture cannot turn into rain. If the temperature drops, the mercury also contracts, and the level also drops. In other words, the gain or loss of heat is largely in the bulb where mercury accumulates. That is why in English it is called "dry bulb temperature" or "actual ambient temperature".In fact, the "dry bulb temperature" of an environment does not give much information. What is important for us living beings is what the "felt temperature" is. For example, if we wrap a wet cloth around the "bulb" part of our thermometer, which is the heat exchange, this thermometer will no longer measure the ambient temperature, but the heat loss of the water in which the wet cloth evaporates. Thus, a much more significant temperature result can be achieved for living things. There is also the following topic: “sensible temperature” measurements are done in shade. While measuring, if the bulb is measured with a thermometer wrapped with a wet cloth under the sun, not in shade, temperature of wet bulb is found. The critical detail here is this: if the environment is 100% humid, the water in the soaked cloth cannot evaporate, and the wet thermometer also reads the same temperature as the dry one. But if the water can evaporate, then the temperature of the thermometer will also be lower than in the dry version, because it will lose heat with evaporation. In the future, the consequences of wet bulb temperature will be even more deadly as global warming and humidity increase. On the one hand, the regions where drought increases with global warming will multiply, Wouldn't things be better if moisture and drought were distributed evenly around the world? That's where our hero comes in. Let's tell you about our hero, which we have prepared using Paint 3D. Rache comes from another planet. The reason he came to Earth is that his own planet has become uninhabitable due to global warming. In order to remedy this problem, which is also in the world, Rache has the power to reduce the humidity in the places with excess humidity, and turn the moisture received into rain in arid regions, thanks to his special powers. However, in order to adapt to the World, Rache had to make clothes from the materials he found himself At this time, he also encountered a bird, and the bird became both a companion and a guide to him. Having detected excess moisture and drought in the world with the bird, Rache continues to struggle to restore balance.

Space Agency Data

Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth’s climate system observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities, primarily fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth’s atmosphere.Since the pre-industrial period, human activities are estimated to have increased Earth’s global average temperature by about 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit), a number that is currently increasing by 0.2 degrees Celsius (0.36 degrees Fahrenheit) per decade.

Certain gases in the atmosphere block heat from escaping. Long-lived gases that remain semi-permanently in the atmosphere and do not respond physically or chemically to changes in temperature are described as "forcing" climate change. Gases, such as water vapor, which respond physically or chemically to changes in temperature are seen as "feedbacks." Closely related to the water vapor feedback is the cloud feedback. Clouds cause cooling by reflecting solar energy, but they also cause warming by absorbing infrared energy (like greenhouse gases) from the surface when they are over areas that are warmer than they are. In our current climate, clouds have a cooling effect overall, but that could change in a warmer environment. If clouds become brighter, or the geographical extent of bright clouds expands, they will tend to cool Earth’s surface.

Hackathon Journey

The Space apps experience was a tiring fun tutorial for us. We learned about the team spirit, the distribution of tasks, drawing a character and many other things like that. It was an unforgettable moment for us. We are people who have grown up with superhero movies and books. Every child wants to be a hero. That's why we chose this challenge. We have always paid attention to learning and having fun while doing this project. We didn't care about some of the setbacks experienced during the project and continued on our way as a support by motivating each other. First of all, we would like to thank all our teammates, our teacher Ayşenur Aktaş and everyone who accompanied us in this experience and helped us a lot.
