High-Level Project Summary

Understanding every component of our planet plays a key role in identifying and solving threats to the environment and life on Earth. As dwellers capable of changing Earth, we, humans, should be aware that its ability in maintaining harmony only works efficiently if we collaborate with its nature through sustainability.Aiming to educate children about sustainability, our project tries to illustrate the abilities of Earth and what processes are involved with them in a superhero called SupEARTH. With this charismatic personification, we planned to create an accessible and interesting approach to the complex mechanisms of Earth for children, who can learn and have fun at the same time!

Detailed Project Description

We aimed to find a way to personify in a superhero not only the abilities Earth owns, but also personify the processes that characterize these abilities. As we uphold the importance of understanding the natural processes of Earth in solving these environmental problems, we wanted to share some of our ideas through our superhero to help to find a way to aware children of the need to be sustainable.

Space Agency Data

We used Space Agency Data in our project to further our understandings and detail the processes that trigger Earth’s many abilities to maintain equilibrium and harmony among its living and non-living parts. We also used some pictures from these sources.

Hackathon Journey

Working on this project with the team was an amazing experience, in which we improved our team-working skills. We aimed to address this challenge because it was quite funny and we could help with an educative approach.
