To Mars And Beyond

High-Level Project Summary

To Mars And Beyond was developed to learn about the difficulties of human space flight as well as have some fun playing a game,The affects of our body in space environment is very critical, Due to the increase in space travel nowadays we dont see the challenge behind such missions. In this game the user would be briefed about the mission, and would have options to choose the necessary pre flight inputs, and upon takeoff, the user would manage all the work allotments on the space ship and be in direct contact with the space ship.Every action day the user gets to assign each of the crew members tasks and by the end of the day a report card would be created displaying the reponse of the crew.

Detailed Project Description

To Mars and Beyond is an interactive game designed to have a little fun as well as learn about the difficulties of human space flight missions.

The game begins with 5 different mission levels starting from the apollo mission, all the event that forth come are complete work of fiction. The day begins and the three astronauts buckle up for launch.

You! As a space coordinator are in direct contact with the space crew and handle all the work allotment and coordination.

It isn’t easy task to travel in space, all of the absence of earth like features make the body respond to it, But the astronauts have come prepared and trained very well on ground, but certain bad situations are often bound to happen, such as an astronaut falling ill, solar flare or radiation event when the crew must escape to safety and avoid work, someone feeling lonely, toll on mental health etc...

You are to decide how much work to allot and what work to allot to each of the astronauts, along with providing them with exercise work, time to talk with family, entertainment time and time for a social interaction with all of the crew.

All of the vitals will be affected by your allotment as well as your pre flight arrangement, there is always room for improvement, and hence comes the Action Day progress report cards, which will pop up after every action day with reports about astronauts’ information on their health and their requests, as well as upcoming solar or radiation event.

Unfortunately we couldnt finish working on the report card feature by the end of hackathon.

The report cards would feature damages or toll taken by the crew through the Action Day in space flight, and expects you to provide rest time or less work to that specific crew.

If you make it to the end of Action Days you pass the level, Hurray

Space Agency Data

For the frequency of solar flares in Report card functioning, we have checked information from NASA websites and other Space wikis .

Hackathon Journey

I have always wanted to work on games that would atleast make a little impact and educate people on space and rockets

This challenge seemed like a great opportunity and thus i started working on it.

Unfortunately i couldnt find a teamate, cause of the language i was working on, Flutter, it is fairly new and not very popular.

By the end of hackthon i almost finished 60 percent of the work, still one of the most cruicial feature of the game being left out im happy of how it turned out.
