Red planet

High-Level Project Summary

Long-distance space travel comes with a multitude of health risks, but it is difficult to imagine the combined effects of these risks, especially for those who are not fluent in NASA jargon. So we design and develop an educational mobile quiz game to help middle schoolers to know more about different hazards astronauts will encounter during a voyage from Earth to Mars and back, and that identifies the most difficult challenges and the biggest risks involved in human spaceflight.

Detailed Project Description

Project context:

We design and develop an educational mobile quiz game to help middle schoolers to know more about different hazards astronauts will encounter during a voyage from Earth to Mars and back.

How does it work?

When the player starts the game for the first time he gets a gift of 50 coins that will encourage him to go further.

On the home page, we got 5 different hazards the player can access one by one like a mission, he must read and answer at least 50% of the quiz to reach the next level (next hazard), and of course any time he got the right answer he got more coins.

What benefits does it have?

As Plato says: " Not by force shall the children learn, but through play."

What do we hope to achieve?

We hope that our game will be playing a part in children's interests and help them to be more curious about outer space and why not be our next astronauts or the ones who really get us to the red planet.

Hackathon Journey

First of all, we want to thank NASA for giving us this opportunity to be part of this global event, it was such an amazing journey that we will be of course part of it for years and years.
