Project Survival

High-Level Project Summary

We developed a game and it will change the training of astronauts because while the astronauts train physically, there is a new feel that will help enhance the experience of training. There will be a video game that includes virtual reality, mixed reality, and the video game. This video game will have a difficulty level from the range of easy to impossible. It will train the astronauts and brace them from the easiest to the impossible events. Also, it will send data to the NASA scientists who will investigate and look at the data of the "new" training. If the astronauts who take this video game training seem to benefit, the video game will be opened up to the public.

Detailed Project Description

We developed a game and it will change the training of astronauts because while the astronauts train physically, there is a new feel that will help enhance the experience of training. There will be a video game that includes virtual reality, mixed reality, and the video game. For example, if the astronaut was training in a pool to simulate 0 gravity, the helmet would have a virtual reality helmet that would display the astronaut spacewalking on the ISS. This video game will have a difficulty level from the range of easy to impossible. Basically, the easy level would have nearly no issue, the impossible has rigged problems that happen a lot. It will train the astronauts and brace them from the easiest to the impossible events. Also, it will send data to the NASA scientists who will investigate and look at the data of the "new" training. If the astronauts who take this video game training seem to benefit, the video game will be opened up to the public. Later, the public will then have access to take a small rocket ship to journey to space for a day.

Space Agency Data

We used "The 5 Hazards of Human Spaceflight":

We used NASA (Keeping your crew alive):

The keeping your crew alive gave us a vague idea on what to do. The 5 Hazards boosted us forwards with ideas, and our momentum is what kept us going as a group.

Hackathon Journey

It was amazing and fun to work with each other despite we just knew each other on Friday. We learnt to be good leaders and a good example, because people look up at you sometimes. We also learnt a lot from the mentors and we learnt to collaborate with others. We made a team in 10 seconds and we learnt to propel the group forwards when we were stuck. We learnt to work efficiently and pitch our ideas out well. It was a good experience.
