High-Level Project Summary
There is a quote that says " Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn". This is what our project actually doing, involve the user by storyteller Uncle Qassim. We developed an educational game with a motivational story for the young generation. The game start in 2050, when uncle Qassim is telling story of his trip to Mars. The story was in 2030 when Saudi Arabia launched their first deck. The user of the game will help uncle Qassim to survive during the flight. The game has many tasks to keep uncle Qassim alive. For instance, daily exercise, mars scavenging, and lab experiments.

Detailed Project Description
STS-51G game is not an ordinary game. it is educational with a motivational story game. During the game, the user will help uncle Qassim to survive. The game contains three challenges. First, daily exercise and here you will learn why the astronaut has to do exercise and how often they do it, Second, mars scavenging. In this challenge astronaut Qassim has to collect some material from mars surface. and finally lab experiments challenge.
However, from this prototype, we hope that the user engages with uncle Qassim's story and learns some facts about mars, astronauts live in space, and more. We are using Unity game engine to create the game and environment. Meanwhile, Final cut pro software was used to tell uncle Qassim's story. For the next version of the game, we aim to develop new challenges and release the game on different devices such as VR headsets.

Hackathon Journey
It was a great experience. We as a team learned a lot from this hackathon. For instance. how could we use NASA data? Moreover, we selected The Trail to Mars: Can You Keep Your Crew Alive challenge. Because we want to create a huge impact on next generation, especially nowadays young generation like games. So through our project, they can play and enjoy the story in the game, and at the same time they are learning. Base on scientific information from many space agencies we made challenges in our game to test your skills to keep the crew alive. Me as representer of the team Nawaf, I would like to say thank you to all team members: Ibrahim, Ahmed, Mohammed and Moaiz. they were working for continues 48 hours without sleep to submit this project.
