WAIT FOR US, MARS!

High-Level Project Summary

We have an astronout going from Earth to Marscand the main goal is to get the astronout to Mars alive. he has responsibilities that should not be disrupted regularly and some problems that may happen to him. If he performs all his missions every day and copes with difficulties that befall him in the best way, the astronout can reach Mars with minimal damage. If he neglects his responsibilities and continues to do or if he does not solve any problems, our astronout unfortunately dies. The task fail. With our game, we give children some informations about space, starting from, core, children with fun. We raise awareness and at the same time, we endear the space, space sciences and occupations.

Detailed Project Description

The game that we created is not only for ertainment but also for teaching new things to children and expand their creativities. And if we think about the things that happened to our earth, we need to do something about it, today or in the future. One of the biggest questions of curiosity is whether there is life outside of Earth and Mars is a planet with a very high probability of this. If we want to establish a colony on another planet in the future Mars may still be one of the most attractive options. It has a suitable environment for the development of microorganisms, there is almost no difference between a Martian day and an Earth day, the axial tilt of Mars is 25.19' and this value is not more different than the Earth's axial tilt value which is 23.27’. These similarities makes us think that Mars is the red twin of the Earth. Considering all these, the project we have developed serves as a simulation for many Mars exploration missions to be made in the future, and in this way, we will provide children with a fun game environment and contribute to their learning about space with pleasure.

Hackathon Journey

Space apps challenge gave us a lot. In this period, we learnt so much about Mars, life of astronouts and the difficulties that they endure. It was really hard and exhausting but we had fun too. In line with our abilities and interests, we picked this category “The Trail To The Mars: Can You Keep Your Crew Alive ”. While developing our project we payed attention to difficulties and health problems faced by astronouts. Except those we surely encountered the diffuculties and misfortunes but we didn’ t give up. We made solutions and then we went on. Lastly we want to say thank you to our mentors, our lead, our co-leads. They helped us a lot.
