Distance Between The Future

High-Level Project Summary

What did you develop? A videogame that is focused on the basic level student community, space professionals and space lovers. How do you "solve" the challenge? The theme of the videogame consists of keeping a crew alive, being us the commander, making certain decisions that will be developed within the game. Why is it important? We have concluded that the best way to introduce a young mind to the world of science is through a videogame that allows them to experience science in a fun way.

Detailed Project Description

Development and methodology

It's time to develop a detailed description of your project. Upload it to your progress

folder. Here it is highly recommended to include graphs, images or diagrams that allow

you to understand the operation and impact of your solution in an effective, clear and

understandable way, even for people with a non-technical profile.

• Exactly, what does your solution do, what does it allow to achieve?

• How does your project work?

• What are the benefits of your solution?

• What are you looking to achieve with your solution?

• What tools, programming languages, hardware or software do you use to develop

your project?

Data from Space Agencies

Specify all the details of how you use the data provided by the different space agencies in

your project.

• How does your project leverage the use of spatial data?

• How did the various spatial data inspire your project?

Adetailed description of your project

We are making a video game that is focused on the basic level student community,

professionals and space lovers. The theme of the video game is that we will go into keeping

our crew alive being us the commander, a brief introduction to the game, events and history

of nasa will be given more striking to which we will give tips that will help you make

decisions that will be developed within the game and that for each decision will have a

consequence in the future, you have the option to choose 5 characters and each one has a

different specialty this will be obtained in lobby and theinformation that I indicate at

thebeginning, once the crew is chosen you can choose what materials you can climb the

ship: a spacesuit, food and objects to help you in the game; when you reach outer space a

rain of asteroids will arrive that will affect both the crew and the rocket and your job is to

meet some challenges so that your team does not die and that it will be difficult for you in your

distance in space and thus be able to reach your desired destination.

• Exactly, what does your solution do, what does it allow to achieve?

The video game, as we explain, it well since at present a large part of adolescents are not

interested in science, however, they have a great taste for video games and due to the

health contingency, much of the youth spends more time on electronic devices. So our

purpose in developing this game is to convey useful information in a dynamic and fun way

for the learning of high school students.

• How does your project work? and What are the benefits of your solution?

Influence the topic of aerospace with information that was found in the NASA's associated

pages both the research of the arms race during the Cold War and in the years that were

improving their performance in the structures of their satellites, rockets and drones. With

that information obtained we were able to make a summary so that they could understand

more about the concept of the game. We can introduce new engineers to the branch and

knowledge of new planets we ensure that a process of much observation and attention to

their connective

What are you looking to achieve with your solution?

Motivate future generations to integrate into the new sciences that are about to be

investigated and that can improve the technology that they will offer us with their

knowledge from this project.

• What tools, programming languages, hardware or software do you use to

develop your project?

Our project is being carried out with programs which are: Unity, sweet house 3D, Sony

Vegas, Adobe, PowerPoint, Visual Studio Code, C# programming language.

• How does your project leverage the use of spatial data? And How did the various spatial data inspire your project?

In our research we visited NASA pages that with that information we get clearer ideas for

the elaboration of the topics.

GLDS-135: Global gene expression analysis highlights key microgravity-sensitive genes in

longissimus dorsi and tongue of 30-day spaceflight mice

Microgravity and chronic muscle disuse are two causes of low back pain caused, at least in

part, by the deconditioning of spinal muscles.

With this document we observe the muscular affectations that happen to mice, with that

we gave ourselves an idea about how much time spent in space is damaging the human

body, in the game you have the option of choosing a doctor to be able to attend to the crew

since it is very important a doctor.

GLDS-326: Network of genetic metabolites linked to inhibited bioenergetics in association

with spaceflight-induced quadriceps muscle loss

The prolonged residence of mice in spaceflight is a scientifically robust and ethically ratified

model of muscle atrophy caused by continuous discharge.

A human journey to Mars, at first glance, offers an inexhaustible amount of complexities. To

take a mission to the Red Planet from fiction to reality, NASA's Human Research Program

has organized the dangers astronauts will encounter on an ongoing basis in five

classifications.

Thanks to these documents we can implement more challenges and how to make the game

a little more realistic since there are affectations in the conditions in space there are many

causes for the body of the human being, since that we are inspired to have asteroids collide

with the rocket that damage it, if it is not done in time those tasks will gradually get sick the

crew.

Business model

It's time to describe how your project will be economically sustainable. Upload this to your

progress folder. Answer the following questions:

• How will you sell your project, whether to companies, people or institutions?

• If your project is non-profit, how could it be funded or economically sustainable?

• What are the costs of your project?

• Who will be your customers? And your users?

• What will your business model look like?

In our project it will be economically sustainable since it will be a video game for PC, for

the pages that were used and the effort

• How will you sell your project, whether to companies, people or institutions?

The product will be for all people and institutions of aerospace engineering

• If your project is non-profit, how could it be funded or economically sustainable?

The video game will be free for all streaming platforms, it will include an additional cost

with micro transfers to get aspects to the characters, rocket aspects, equipment

improvements and materials by watching ads, watching ads will give you a shooting star.

• What are the costs of your project?

Our cost was around $500 as we had to buy editing apps so that it has better video

quality, as every time the programs and servers will be maintained.

• Who will be your customers? And your users?

Customers will be of all ages, but especially for the entry-level student community and

aerospace specialists.

• What will your business model look like?

The business models would be: Steam, pame pass Xbox box (PC), Epic game store, Origin,

Uplay, Windows Store, Battle.net, etc...

Hackathon Journey

1.- What is the name of the team?

The name of the team is The suhail

2.- Who are the members of the team?

Erick Domínguez Galán

Miguel Angel Montoya Uribe

Joshua Javier Reyes Ambrocio

Gabriel Ordaz

3.- What challenge did they choose?

trip to mars, believe you can keep your crew alive

4.- What inspired you to choose that challenge?

Currently, a large part of teenagers are not interested in science, however they have a fondness for video games and due to the health contingency, a large part of young people spend more time on devices electronic So it inspired us by developing this game to convey useful information in a dynamic and fun way for high school students to learn.

5.- What is the name of the solution? and How it works?

Our project is called "Distance between the future". It is a game, which its genre is survival/decision making. In this game the gamer have to choose a crew and he shoud keep alive his team, while the gamer have to find some objects for to fix the ship.

6.- How was your experience at Space Apps? What did you learn?

Our experience was pleasant and very pleasant because we were able to organize ourselves in a very adequate and organized way at the time of our part of the project.

We learned to use so many editing programs in unity, sweet house and how to animate since they were a topic that we did not know and we were able to learn more about the history of NASA and its events.

7.-What was the most challenging of these forty hours of work? How did they solve it?

keep awake, I feel that the lack of rest is something that caused us a lot of controversy and to solve that, we made a space to sleep these days

8.- Anyone you want to thank? Mention it!

Thanks to our colleagues for the effort they put in to finish the project on the deadline, to our families for the support and trust they gave us, to spaceapps for giving us the opportunity to participate and obtain this experience, and to the mentors who gave us their knowledge and advice.
