High-Level Project Summary
Created by Galaxy IS students. Sun is here is an educational website. Information by NASA and its missions are used. Our aim is to educate people and create awareness about the Sun and explain importance of Sun and human actions on our planet. As people read the articles and answer questions in the form of quizzes, they will find themselves in a problem and solution matter, as missions and results of NASA missions to sun is used in our website. Viewers of website will create awareness, even change and share information about climate effects of emission by human acts mixed with the radiation from the sun.

Detailed Project Description
Summary:
Created by Galaxy IS students. Sun is here is an educational website. Information by NASA and its missions are used. Our aim is to educate people and create awareness about the Sun and explain importance of Sun and human actions on our planet. As people read the articles and answer questions in the form of quizzes, they will find themselves in a problem and solution matter, as missions and results of NASA missions to sun is used in our website. Viewers of website will create awareness, even change and share information about climate effects of emission by human acts mixed with the radiation from the sun.
OUR TEAM
Students, volunteering in researching areas and with some specific experiences came together. Our aim is to improve our skills, like critical thinking, teamwork and written communication.
Inspired by...
We are inspired by educative websites were students are learning and solving at the same time, and as the topic was about unlocking secretes, we chose to educate people by showing the secrets!
SOLUTION:
An educational interactive website that will help the users find out more information about spacecrafts, which explore the sun, and realize the impact of these valuable data on our lives.
Users can read the informative articles, ask questions on their interested topics, and then pass the tests and quizzes. This helps
people to become more educated, or in some cases develop an interest in particular spheres of science. Moreover, these people can even answer to some of the questions asked by the other users, which will lead to better interactions in the site.
What we made?
The problem is to unlock the secrets of the Sun. Our solution was to show people the importance of the Sun's explorations not only as a planet, but also as our source of light and heat energy considering what other impacts it had on our everyday lives.
Building knowledge:
By collecting the information from the NASA website and missions, we made a website, were students learn and test their knowledge. Each user can ask their questions and find more information. In the part, "You have a mission" give the chance of helping other ambitious eco people by answering their questions. In schools subjects about climate, teachers may use to the topic related to sun and its effect as an outer source of energy to earth.
Why we chose this challenge?
Usually, education and information about sun is not taught to students and people don't have enough knowledge in this area. As there are websites exist about educating people in fields like climate change, why don't we have a platform where individuals learn?
IMPORTANCE
As the tech keeps improving with the speed of light , it is vital to stay on tune. The same is thing is happening in the field of astronomy and universe overall, and just like in tech it will help us understand more the structure of the astronomical universe. It is the only star close enough to us to reveal details about its surface. In this way, solar astronomy teaches us much about stars. Planetary systems, galaxies, and the universe itself.
OUR AIM...
Is to create knowledgeable individuals with an idea in some areas that people are usually not interested in. Like the Sun, people just see it as a heat ball that gives us heat and light. A huge planet in the heart of our solar system can have more effects and its own environment. We want to educate people, create interest and explain the impacts.
We used Figma to develop our website.

Challenges
A crazy team leader and coder spent all her time on website.
SAT student had exam on Saturday and couldn't join us.
Half of the team in quarantined at the last moment, tasks are discussed online and divided between us.

Most of the data collected from these websites were used for the research and analysis of the problem to tackle the chosen problem as effectively as possible.
Hackathon Journey
The main Challenges while taking part in Space App was the diversity of challenges we could choose from. Eventually in every other chosen problem we would find flaws and unfeasible moments. As a result, as a lesson from the mistake of wasting our time on too much thoughts on choosing one thing, next time it would be wiser to narrow down the choices and make a quicker decision .
We were inspired to choose this challenge by the desire to have a real-world impact. We want to inspire others to take a look at our shared, living world from the other perspectives, be it even from sun's explorations.
Our Approach:
- We designed the core features and goals of the website, not forgetting the focus on the aim: raising the public awareness
- We split into two sub-teams: The first handled coding, and visual design. The second handled usability, and prototyping.
- We interviewed each other on the tools and learning methods they use, to hone our minimum viable product matching nowadays' standards.
- We iterated on our prototype and watched our feature getting better in every renewable of the features.
