SUNRISE

High-Level Project Summary

We have developed a web application about the Sun, the Space Weather and the Parker Solar mission. We believe that the content is didactic and objective, producing knowledge but not tiring the reader

Detailed Project Description

We have used HTML, CSS together with the React to produce a website with illustrations and textual content to make reading more dynamic and interesting, and also awakening the reader's attention by the beautiful images and fluid reading. At the end of the site there is also a questionnaire to test the reader and make him think and try to produce with his words what he understood, in addition to encouraging the search for knowledge.

Space Agency Data

We have used data from SDO to understand solar flares, how the X-ray flash emitted and its classification according to intensity, and to cite examples of consequences of the action of solar winds on technological equipment.

Hackathon Journey

It was an incredible contact with the world of challenges posed in events like this. We learned a lot about issues related to natural sciences, how space works, its characteristics and how the Sun can affect life on Earth much more than we imagine. We chose this challenge because we would like to produce a good explanatory content that could generate knowledge and encourage people to understand more about the importance of the science of space missions. We had trusted each other to finish the project and share the responsibility, so we can rest and trust that the other is aware and ready to continue.
