THE SUN OF BILLION IDEAS

High-Level Project Summary

Our team has developed a website. Our website makes the user access data about the sun and missions to sun and understand it easily. The overview page has abstract of Parker probe and sun, the discover page has info about effects of sun, missions to the sun and much more. the fun zone makes the user learn more in the form of quiz,3d model and facts. This website makes the users get a 3d view of some space probes.the website addresses the challenge by emphasizing current heliophysics missions and encouraging users to think future of solar exploration. This solution is important as most of the people in this COVID-19 pandemic not have access to science centers, exhibitions.

Detailed Project Description

Our project is a website that shares information related to the sun, parker solar probe, and how they impact our daily lives and space. It shares information of the "greatest missions to the sun, how future missions will look like, what can we expect from future space missions, making them view probes in 3d and not only make them learn all this but also discover new ideas and share them with other users through the comment box."

Our website makes the learning fun and interactive rather than delivering the knowledge in a boring form. It also enhances the user experience so that users do not get bored while using the website. Our team has made the website by keeping in mind that how can we "emphasize current heliophysics missions such as Parker Solar Probe and Solar Orbiter while encouraging users to think about the future of solar exploration."

The website consists of 4 pages i.e. Overview, Discover, Fun Zone, and News. The overview page consists of a brief description of the Parker solar probe, 3d model of the probe, characteristics of the probe, how missions studying the sun are helpful to us, the importance of the parker probe, and things to know about the parker solar probe. All the topics consist of many interesting things about the Sun and have some interesting questions between them which make the user more curious about space exploration. The discover page starts with a brief history of solar orbiter missions, a complete description of how these missions are helpful to us, some of the greatest space missions after the parker solar probe, future missions to the sun, how they will look like, and some more questions in the middles to make the user think more.

The Fun page makes the user learn all this in a fun and interactive manner in the form of quizzes, exploring the solar system, planets, stars, galaxy in a 3d form with full detail, some of the most awesome animations of the parker probe from NASA, some mind-blowing fun facts, sharing their ideas about future space missions and much more.

The news page makes the user get to know the most recent and latest news about space and space programs completely in short and exact one sentence.

The website will make the users learn more about space, the sun, missions to the sun, and will make the public aware of these missions, the importance of these missions and will make more and more people attracted and interested towards space and related missions.

Our team hopes that this website will create interest in space and solar orbiter missions in youth. We hope that this website will work as an e-space library and planetarium and more and more people join this website and get to know much and much information about the sun and its related missions.

We have made the website using Google sites which is a structured web page-creation tool included as part of the free, web-based Google docs editor suite offered by Google.

Space Agency Data

Our team has used data from NASA in this project. We used the data provided by NASA from their heliophysics missions, Parker probe mission, and from various other sources associated with NASA.

We studied the data provided and tried our best to make it interactive and easy to understand for the public even if they have no basic knowledge about space.

The data collected from NASA is very important for our project as there were some new things we got to learn from these data.

Hackathon Journey

It was a wonderful experience for me and my team in this year's Space Apps. We learned to work with different types of people with diverse nature, different time zones. We learned to co-operate with each other and developed new skills of teamwork.

Our team was inspired by this challenge by knowing the features of the parker solar probe, how it affects our daily life and we decided to make more and more people aware of that so the youth gets attracted towards space and becoming more curious and share their ideas. This was also necessary as people do not have access to science centers and planetariums in this COVID_19 pandemic.

Our team members were from different time zones so all the team members decided on a common time and we all worked in that time, looked for solutions to challenges, and resolved all the setbacks.

I would like to thank all my team members as nothing would be possible in this solution without their support. MY team would also like to thank NASA as their resources helped us a lot in our project.
