High-Level Project Summary

We worked on two main problems which are, unlocking the secret of the Sun and mapping space trash in real-time by designing a space container that will collect dead satellites then sending it to the Sun for studying. Also, we generated a website that will have tracking info about dead satellites, shows brief information about them, and live stream of the space ship, date and process of collecting. This solution will free orbits around the earth making them available for new satellites and space tourism

Detailed Project Description

We focused in our project on two main challenges which are:

-       Mapping space trash in real time

-       Unlocking the secret of the Sun


Our project “for now” is a designed container that controlled from earth and made for collecting out of service satellites that damaged or ran out of fuel by dismantling them in the space. Then, after collecting a certain number of satellites that the container can carry, it directed to the Sun for completing the second duty which is collecting data from the Sun until reaching a point of melt and disappear


Solar container has a double-sided door along with 4 robotic arms which will play the main roll of collecting the space trash. Container steering and all operations will be done by from a chamber in Earth by several number of engineers. In additional to that, we solved the problem communication delaying by using Li-Fi communication technology


Along with the design, we generated a website that will have a live stream of the container and will show the operations in the real time. Also, it will be a huge tracking website for all dead available satellites. The website will show a brief information about each tracked satellite and the date of collecting, and will show the latest Sun studies and measurements which are going to be a complement of Parker Solar Probe measurements.


We believe that our idea will helps in cleaning the Earth's near and far orbits and contribute to opening up spaces that can be filled in the future with advanced satellites or spacecraft suitable for space tourism.

Space Agency Data

we used Nasa's database in tracking ISS station and used it as an example of the tracking way in our website. Also, we used the ESA tracking database in showing the tracking way of Envisat satellite

Hackathon Journey

This is one of my best experiences I have lived and had, working for more that 25 hours continuously was tough and fun at the same time.
