High-Level Project Summary
At SpaceBot, we are experts in the development of data-driven insights about space utilization and the user experiences that are connected to the places in which those experiences happen. SpaceBot helps clients optimize the value proposition of the real estate they are invested in. We collect and analyze data to deliver valuable insights about how people use those buildings and spaces, and the quality of the human experiences they afford.
Detailed Project Description
The insights start with an understanding of how many people are occupying the different spaces, when, and for how long - illuminating the patterns of high and low demand for those spaces. This information can be used for strategic planning to tune the number and sizes of the spaces, to redefine their programming, or to implement policies that can optimize the utilization patterns. In addition to real estate optimization, the data can be used to enable better user experiences in “smart” environments. Insights related to journey mapping, wait times, dwell times, social interaction, and other socio-spatial phenomena can be drawn from the data and used to improve experiences and drive decisions in support of human-centered goals.
Space Agency Data
Historically, the role of robotics in space exploration has been significant due to the uninhabitable conditions of non-terrestrial planets in the solar system. According to AZO Robotics, a robot is defined as “a self-controlled device consisting of electronic, electrical or mechanical units that can function in place of a living agent.” In this post, you'll learn some basic history about robots in space exploration and 5 of the most popular robotics systems used in space history. Before scientists began sending robots to space, animals such as dogs or monkeys were often sent to complete tasks and conduct experiments in order to increase human knowledge of conditions on other planets and the Moon.
