VIPDRAGON

High-Level Project Summary

As you may know, Mars has some very challenging weather events(sandstorms). This can cause damage to the space crafts. Our solution to this is to send a capsule to Mars. This capsule has a drill attached to it - which we prefer to call a mole. This mole drills into Mars's surface and grips on to it. The explorer rovers go into this capsule to protect themselves from the sandstorms. This mole drills very deep into the surface so we decided to take advantage of this. We decided that it would be clever to collect some samples from the underground, so that we can develop a deeper understanding of Mars's qualities.

Detailed Project Description

Our main purpose here is to send a capsule to Mars which will autonomously produce space crafts to explore Mars. Other space rovers in Mars have difficulties due to harsh weather events. These weather events (such as sandstorms) can cause damage in space rovers. Our solution to this is to add a drill - which we prefer to call a mole. This mole will also discover the underground world and collect some samples to develop a better understanding of Mars's qualities. We used "Fusion360" and "Blender" to create our 3D design.

Hackathon Journey

It was very tiring yet fun. We learned how the group spirit works. We learned how to work in harmony. We learned a lot about Mars. We learned about the systems in space crafts. We overcame a lot of difficulties by working together and always being there for each other. We'd like to thank our mentor teachers for giving us the chance to experience this.
