High-Level Project Summary
Solar energy is an effective way for areas where sunlight is available in access to power their house supply without having to worry about power outages, expensive electricity bills, running out of fossil fuels, etc.But not many people, especially females are aware of the advantages of using solar energy to power their homes. That is where our solution comes in.We aim to create an app that not only lets a user see which time is best for solar energy to be utilized but also educates them to be more solar energy-aware resulting in more and more population choosing solar energy as an alternative to electricity that is produced by fossil fuels.

Detailed Project Description
Today climate change poses a very big threat to humanity. The sun as a reason is becoming closer and closer to the Earth. So how can developing countries close to the equator take advantage of this to support economic growth?
That is when solar energy comes in. Solar energy is an effective way for areas where sunlight is available in access to power their house supply without having to worry about power outages, expensive electricity bills, running out of fossil fuels, etc.
But not many people, especially females are aware of the advantages of using solar energy to power their homes. That is where our solution comes in.
We aim to create an app that not only lets a user see which time is best for solar energy to be utilized but also educates them to be more solar energy-aware resulting in more and more population choosing solar energy as an alternative to electricity that is produced by fossil fuels.
When given the knowledge, these users will further advocate in their communities about the advantages of solar-based energy, and will also contribute to a more environment-friendly lifestyle. With energy consumption tracking features and a gamified learning experience that promotes engagement through milestones and badges, we make females more aware of sustainable living methods.
Figma was used to develop the app prototype.

Hackathon Journey
Diving into the hackathon together as a team we really learned a lot of interesting and exciting things about NASA and the work that space agencies do. From exploring user experience to learning about solar energy, the hackathon really enabled us to go beyond our comfort zone to deep dive into new and exciting topics.
