High-Level Project Summary
We developed a mobile app that helps people who are willing to make a switch to solar panels, to make the whole process easier providing precise energy and temperature measurements and the amount of provided panels needed to satisfy the consumers needs.

Detailed Project Description
The benefits of our approach is more precise energy measurements as current calculators use "estimated daylight time" which is not precise at all. We hope to achieve easier solar panel purchasing. Currently we worked using "Justinmind" to create a visual prototype, "Visual Studio", Python to receive data from the servers, developing this app in the future would require Android Studio and Xcode to make the app functional.
Space Agency Data
We used this dataset to receive information about solar irradiance and temperature 10m from the surface - https://data.nasa.gov/Earth-Science/Prediction-Of-Worldwide-Energy-Resources-POWER-/wn3p-qsan
This dataset provided us with enough data to do calculations possible to estimate required solar panel amount
Hackathon Journey
Experience in Space Apps was great, everything was understandable and well organized. As this was our first hackathon for most of us, we learnt a lot how to work quickly, how everything works here, how to use and format data provided.
We chose this challenge because we are interested in green energy and would like to help to make the switch easier.
There were close to no setbacks, if we encountered an issue that blocked further progress, we came together, figured out a solution quickly and continued working, everything was talked out. The biggest challenge was working remotely.
I would like to thank everyone on my team for agreeing to such a spontaneous idea to join this hackathon when 1 day was already passed.
