YAMS app, the app that gives homeowners information and accurate statistics from NASA about renewable energy especially Solar energy, helps homeowners by giving them statistics and facts about renewable energy, in order to help them to maintain their tools or start using renewable energy. So far homeowners have reported that they lack easy way to visualize NASA statistical data o their location so this app makes it easy for them by using statistical graphs and pie charts, this app importance relies on helping homeowners to visualize NASA data in a statistical way fast, anywhere, anytime, and without any additional tool
YAMS app gives, facts and statistical data from NASA space Agency, to homeowners or anyone who could be interested in renewable energy
The app has a Pie Chart that shows the comparison of the rate of main renewable energy (solar, wind, etc...) in which they have risen in past few years in terms of usage(consumption), It also show the real and proven facts that we take for trusted sources about renewable energy, This apps also have a great feature where homeowners or industrial specialist can visualize NASA space agency data about solar cooking and solar fluxes by showing how much irradiance emitted in any specified range of time, either day, months or years, Which can help industries to know which location that have higher irradiances so that they can make any solar cooker
Whoever uses this App will benefit from the following
We hope to make this usable and improve it as users give us feedback to make sure that the world goes green, with the help of this app, we aim to make visualizing NASA space Agency data as simple as possible and Fast as it could be
We developed A mobile app with
Our mobile app runs on Android, IOs as well and makes use of NASA Provided data through open APIs of NASA, We link data from different NASA API endpoints and other space agencies to be able to come up with presentable statistical information consumed by our app users.
We consume provided NASA application Zone API to be able to get Thermal and Thermal Moisture Zones operations from a custom location and time range on which we base on building the facts helps homeowners to consume Solar energy other than they do consume renewable sources of energy than they consume electrical energy.
Our mobile app provides a platform for homeowners to be able to receive a real-time statistical ratio of world solar energy consumption to electrical energy consumption. The data we're using come from NASA Space Agency Web Portal APIs
Our app allows the users to input their locational climate element values eg: Humidity, Temperature.....
and the app compares the provided data with NASA data provided on Open Climate APIs
This journey was extremely wonderful, we learned new things explored new things, about space, just reading challenges makes you think big and do research to make sure if you can tackle that challenge through that research you know a lot of things that you didn't know,
For sure we didn't know anything about solar cooking, we just knew it when we were exploring the NASA space agency power web portal, haha, it was really amazing, learned new terms like Irradiance and others,
New knowledge that we got from You are my sunshine challenge like solar cooking boosted my curiosity and made us do more research which even encouraged us to find a way that we can take this challenge,
After viewing a video when people was explaining their problem which led to this challenge, we heard that they needed a mobile app, already we had some knowledge of Programming, so we said why can't we go for this challenge and help these people with the knowledge we got
Moreso, it was hard to plan and start doing the project since we were working remotely in our team, coding and putting together ideas as a team to have one final product, it is really hard in 2 days but we managed to use some online tools like fluterlab
We highly thanks The Team that is behind this competition, this is a really amazing and a good chance to meet new people especially those who are eager to tackle challenges like this, we highly thanks Bonte, Bwiza, and other mentors that helped us out in this hackathon, It was amazing and challenged but we tried our best

This project has been submitted for consideration during the Judging process.
NASA produces a variety of surface solar and meteorological data parameters that are useful to commercial renewable energy and sustainable building ventures, but this information is not easily accessible to the typical homeowner. Your challenge is to develop a mobile application to access the information on NASA’s Prediction of Worldwide renewable Energy Resources (POWER) web services portal and provide useful information about sunshine to the general public.
